YES, this makes us very happy. The Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo is coming to the Netherlands! To Amsterdam, to be precise, on Rokin. You may have heard that the building where Forever 21 was located for a while has become vacant. And indeed, this lovely clothing brand will be moving into that building. We first spotted this clothing brand in Tokyo and were immediately sold on the beautiful basics. We couldn't resist popping in to London and Paris as well, and we almost never left empty-handed... You can imagine our secret cheers when the rumors started going around that Uniqlo would finally be coming to Amsterdam. And yesterday it was confirmed—on Valentine's Day, no less, that must be love ;-).
Uniqlo is a favorite of our editors because it offers good quality and is affordable for everyone. It's also called "the H&M of Japan," to give you an idea. Don't expect busy prints or anything like that, though, but that flawless Japanese simplicity style you see on the streets there. Of course, it's always a matter of waiting to see whether we'll get all the collections in Amsterdam, but we're hopeful – the building is big enough, after all. And for Anne, we especially hope the kids' and baby collections will be available ;-). The opening date is currently set for fall 2018, but we'll keep you updated!
Happy travels!
WITH LOVE,
WIEKE
