Train Lodge Amsterdam: an affordable and unique hotel in a train

13 March 2017

YEARS AGO Train Lodge Amsterdam STILL DROVE AROUND Zürich

Train Lodge Amsterdam is a very unique hostel that you’ll want to try out for a night. You can sleep in a train, how cool is that? Not long ago, sleeping cars still went from Zürich to Rome and back again, but now they’re next to Station Sloterdijk. The idea of sleeping in a nighttrain might sound nice, but when it’s standing still you can really enjoy it. And that’s how the idea came about to turn a still standing train into a hostel.

Train Lodge Amsterdam FOR THE ULTIMATE NIGHT TRAIN EXPERIENCe

Train Lodge Amsterdam has a total of 132 beds spread around 44 carriages. In every carriage you’ll find 3 bunkbeds that you can share with your own group, or people you don’t know. Time for a pyjama party! The interior is quite similar to the night train that you might remember from your trip abroad. A lot of wood and only the real necessities like a nightlight, storage area, and in this case a soft mattress and clean bedsheets, wifi and even breakfast.

Train Lodge Amsterdam

We’ve got travelcravings again! When you sleep in Train Lodge you’ll definitely get the feeling like you’re on your way to a beautiful destination, far far away. You don’t have to bring your backpack for the ultimate train travel experience, you can just go to Train Lodge Amsterdam.
