This is quite special: the owners behind Auberge, Bistro de la Mer, and De Juwelier offer a special four- or five-course menu on Mother’s Day at all three restaurants. And choosing between them is quite a challenge. At Bistro de la Mer, the focus is, as usual, on fish, with dishes like crab with jalapeno, asparagus with eel, and Rossini-style monkfish. At De Juwelier, you can enjoy dishes such as artichoke barigoule, Holsteiner bavette tartare, and roasted langoustines. The recently opened Auberge offers cod brandade and confit duck leg on the menu. For those who can’t choose, lunching at one and dining at another is an option.

Fruits de ‘Mère’ – a catchy wordplay for an equally captivating concept. At Vooges aan ‘t IJ, you can indulge in Mother’s Day with plateaus of fruits de mer: a fresh platter filled with oysters, clams, langoustines, lobster, and more. Perhaps you’re familiar with the concept from their previous location at the beach, where it was a huge hit.
