𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗣𝗘𝗡 𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗬 👀 This is the coolest new hotel for a night away! Meet @viaantwerp , the newest boutique hotel in Antwerp on the border of Zurenborg and Borgerhout (yep, voted 2nd coolest neighborhood in the world by Time Out). I recently stayed at this gem and this hotel really has it all: a lively bar with a cozy atmosphere, walls full of creative art, beautiful bright rooms and it's within walking distance of great hotspots. And I haven't even mentioned @mea.antwerp! The delicious restaurant with a chef behind the pans who previously cooked at The Palomar in London. If you know, you know! And now the best news: I can surprise one of you with a dream night away at VIA Antwerp. 💛 𝗪𝗔𝗧 𝗝𝗘 𝗞𝗨𝗡𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗡 • Overnight stay for 2 people • Breakfast included • Chef's dinner at MEA 𝗭𝗢 𝗠𝗔𝗔𝗞 𝗝𝗘 𝗞𝗔𝗡𝗦 • Let us know in the comments which friend you would like to stay here with • Of course, also take a look at @viaantwerp & @mea.antwerp to dream away and follow their updates The winner will be notified personally via DM on December 10th. 25 fun things to do in Tenerife

Go hiking in the Masca Valley: undoubtedly one of the most Instagrammed hikes on the island. And for good reason: the views are stunning as you walk through the valley from the mountain village. Good to know: the path from the village to the beach is currently closed, so keep an eye on updates about its reopening.

Rent a car: When I travel, I always rent a car. It's wonderful to have that freedom of being able to go wherever you want. With your own car, you really get to know the island well and can explore both the north and the south.

Visit Los Gigantes: The town of Los Gigantes is named after the "giants" of rock formations rising from the sea. Impressive views of the 800-meter-high cliffs.

Book a dolphin or whale safari: you can spot whales and dolphins off the coast of Tenerife year-round. A fun boat trip is a great way to do it! Most tours depart from the port towns in the south of the island.

Visit the Anaga Mountains: the north of Tenerife is much more rugged and peaceful than the south. Nature lovers will definitely want to visit the Anaga Mountains, even if only to visit the impressive Playa de Benijo beach with its stunning rock formations in the sea.

Stay in a boutique hotel: I mentioned it briefly, but Tenerife has no shortage of beautiful and unique hotels. From unique heritage hotels where you'll still see many colonial details to completely climate-neutral villas for rent. In this list I have collected 9 tips >>

Stroll along the promenade: on the more touristy side of the island, in the south, you'll find a long, 14-kilometer promenade that connects several seaside resorts, from Costa Adeje all the way to Los Cristianos.

Go wine tasting at a bodega: Tenerife boasts several vineyards you can visit. They often have a restaurant and a tasting room where you can sample different wines. Chances are there's a vineyard along the way if you're visiting the north of the island. Stop for lunch or a drink on the way back!

Shop at the local market: Tenerife locals prioritize regional food. Find the tastiest produce at one of the island's many farmer's markets, such as those in La Laguna or Adeje!

Go to a concert at the Auditorio de Tenerife: The music building is one of the island's most iconic buildings. On the first floor is a restaurant where you can also enjoy food and drinks even if you're not attending a concert.

Sunbathing at Playa de Las Teresitas: Because Tenerife is a volcanic island, most beaches are black. The only golden-yellow beach on the island is Playa de Las Teresitas. It can get crowded with locals on weekends, so if you can, go on a weekday.

Visit San Cristóbal de La Laguna: Want to see more of Tenerife than just the pool or the beach at your hotel (and believe me… you will!). Then stay at various locations on the island during your holiday. For example, in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, a UNESCO World Heritage town where you can stay in a unique colonial building transformed into a boutique hotel.

Book a retreat day: Tenerife offers plenty of health and wellness options. You can, of course, choose your hotel so that you have a spa nearby, but you can also book a pampering day at one of the island's spas, such as the Océano hotel.

Stop at the Drago Milenario dragon tree: nestled among the vineyards on Tenerife is a so-called "dragon tree," which legend has it is over 1000 years old. If you're in the area and happen to drive by, it's a nice place to stop for a quick visit.

Spot street art in Puerto de la Cruz: I always enjoy spotting street art when I travel. Once I've chosen a destination, the detective work begins. In Tenerife, the port town of Puerto de la Cruz is the place to be for the most beautiful street art!

Dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant: not something you do every day, but something that can make your holiday memories even more special. During your holiday in Tenerife, book a lunch (often cheaper!) or dinner at one of the island's five Michelin-starred restaurants!

Sunrise at Pico del Teide: you have to get up early for it, but it's worth it. A magical view as you watch the sunrise from the top of Pico del Teide, Tenerife's highest mountain.

Go chic at Playa el Duque in Costa Adeje: the place in the south of the island where you'll find the most luxurious resorts and restaurants. Want to do a bit of shopping in the boutiques first, enjoy an ice cream at one of the beachside restaurants, rent a sunbed at a beach club, or enjoy a delicious lunch? It's all possible here.

Celebrate Carnival in Tenerife: Did you know they celebrate Carnival in Tenerife too? The images remind me of tropical Carnival, like you might experience in the Caribbean or Brazil. But then just in Europe!

Discover Teide National Park: this vast natural park in the north of Tenerife is a must-visit for nature lovers. You can hike, admire stunning rock formations, or enjoy the panoramic views at sunset. Several tours are organized to Teide National Park, so even if you don't have a car, you can definitely check it off your bucket list.

Go diving or snorkeling: getting my diving certification is still on my personal bucket list. Do you have your PADI? Then Tenerife offers fantastic diving. Although I have to say, I think snorkeling is just as beautiful. The combination with the boat trip also makes snorkeling a must-do on my vacation. There are several beautiful snorkeling spots in the south of the island. Who knows, you might even see sea turtles!

A dip in the natural pools: I always find this awe-inspiring. Places where the sea and the rocks are rugged, but where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in one of the natural pools nestled in the rocks. In Tenerife, you'll find them near Garachico and Bajamar.

Join a Guachinche: Have you ever heard of the word Guachinche? It's not Spanish, but a typical Canarian word for small, traditional, family-run businesses. You'll find several of them in Tenerife, especially in the north. They're known for their good, simple food paired with wine from their own vineyards. Names to remember include Guachinche La Cuadra and Guachinche Chela.

Wander through Garachico: this town is absolutely worth a visit during your vacation. Taking a road trip around the island? Book a night in one of the boutique hotels here. You'll find one of the natural swimming pools, many charming seafood restaurants, and can wander the narrow cobblestone streets.

Go stargazing in the mountains: did you know that Tenerife is one of the world's most famous places for stargazing? Various stargazing tours are organized, allowing you to discover the starry sky from the peaks of Mount Teide. Romantic! And a unique experience during your Tenerife holiday.
