Recipe: how to make The Singleton Sour at home

Ingredients for 1 cocktail

  • 50 ml The Singletons 12
  • 20 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 20 ml sugar syrup (1:1)
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • Protein or cocktail foamer
  • Ice cubes

Garnish

  • 1 cocktail cherry on a stick

Supplies

  • cocktail Shaker
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Fine sieve
  • Rocks glass

Preparation

  1. Add the egg white or cocktail foamer to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Then pour in the lemon juice, sugar syrup, Angostura bitters, and The Singleton 12.
  3. Shake for 10 to 15 seconds without ice. This creates the full foam layer.
  4. Then add ice cubes and shake vigorously again for about 10 seconds.
  5. Fill a rocks glass with fresh ice.
  6. Pour the cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer and a fine sieve into the glass.
  7. Garnish with a cocktail cherry on a toothpick.
  8. Serve immediately.
