The Good Companion Amsterdam in the Westerstraat in Amsterdam is a new place for fish and chips. Founders Niek and Enno are bringing the British comfort food to Amsterdam and we don’t mind at all. ‘Cause finding good fish and chips in Amsterdam is kind of impossible sometimes.

Niek and Enno decided to set up a crowdfunding campagne to get all the money they need for this new food bar. In just ten days they received more than 85% of their hoped target. Good job!

Good, fish and chips! Vegetarian? No worries, The Good Companion has a solution for that as well. You can find Tofush & Chips on the menu, made from tofu. I need to try that one! Beside that you can order the Catch of the Day, the catch is changing every day ’cause it’s made from fish that they usually don’t use when they are fishing for something specific. This fish will be thrown back in the ocean and won’t survive, The Good Companion is using this fish as the ‘catch of the day’.

We can find The Good Companion Amsterdam in the Jordaan at the Westerstraat and the restaurant will give you the feeling as if you’re walking into a pub. Get together with friends and eat delicious fish and chips while you’re hours later still drinking one of the British drinks at the bar.
