The Champagne Box: a special champagne delivered to your home every month

3 Januari 2026

Always have a good bottle of champagne within reach, without having to think about it. It sounds simple, but that's precisely what makes The Champagne Box so appealing. With this champagne subscription from The Champagne Fox Every month you will receive a carefully selected grower champagne from a small winegrower in the Champagne region.

The Champagne Fox was founded by two Amsterdammers to share their passion for artisanal champagne. Each bottle is personally tasted, selected, and imported by them. No big names, no standard bottles, but champagnes with character. Bottles that tell us something about their origins, the maker, and the terroir. Exactly the kind of discovery that makes us at Your Little Black Book happy. If there's one subscription we're going to sign up for this year, it's this one. Champagne Box

What is The Champagne Box?

The Champagne Box is a monthly subscription where you can choose one or two bottles of champagne per delivery. Each box features grower champagnes: artisanal champagnes from independent winemakers who grow their own grapes and make their wine themselves.

With every delivery, you'll receive tasting notes and background information, so you don't just drink, but also understand what you're tasting. The subscription is available throughout the Benelux and is designed for enthusiasts who enjoy discovering something new without having to search endlessly.

Why grower champagne is so interesting

While large Champagne houses source grapes from various regions, grower Champagne makers work exclusively with their own vineyards. This makes each bottle more personal and often more distinctive in style.

You taste one place, one vision, and one producer. Sometimes clean and mineral, sometimes richer and rounder, but always with a distinct signature. It's precisely this variety that makes grower champagne so enjoyable to discover, especially if you're willing to explore beyond the familiar labels.

More than a bottle: the story behind champagne

What sets The Champagne Box apart is its context. Each bottle comes with the story of its winemaker: from family-run wineries that have been active for generations to young producers who combine tradition with a contemporary approach.

That makes opening a bottle a little more conscious. You're not just putting champagne on the table; you're sharing a story that begins in the vineyards of France.

Grower champagne at the table

Champagne is surprisingly versatile and lends itself perfectly to food pairings. Some combinations that often work well:

  • Cheese – Soft cheeses such as Brie, Camembert or goat's cheese with a fresh Blanc de Blancs
  • Fish and seafood – Oysters, ceviche or sushi with a tight Extra Brut
  • Poultry – Chicken or guinea fowl with a fuller, wood-aged champagne
  • Desserts – Brut Rosé with fruity cakes or refined patisserie

In the tasting notes of each box you will find suggestions that match the style of champagne of that month.

How to store your champagne

Champagne is best stored lying down, in a dark place with a constant temperature of around 15 degrees Celsius. Avoid direct light and large temperature fluctuations to preserve the bubbles and aromas.

Don't have that perfect storage spot? Then that might just be an invitation not to leave the bottle lying around for too long. The next box will come naturally.

Who is The Champagne Box for?

The Champagne Box is perfect for those who love discovering new champagnes, but it also makes a great gift. Think birthdays, anniversaries, or as a monthly treat for yourself.

A Friday evening with an unexpected, artisanal champagne quickly feels like a little outing, just at home.
