The ARC. by LUTE Amsterdam: new restaurant in the Pijp by Peter Lute

9 January 2018

The arc. by lute amsterdam in a beautiful premise on the amsteldijk

After our first announcement in June 2017 we can finally tell you that restaurant The ARC. by Lute is now open for dinner. This new restaurant in Amsterdam, situated by the Amstel in De Pijp is located in the former city archive on the Amsteldijk. Whoever has walked past it will definitely recognize this beautiful premise! And have you heard that soon the new five star hotel Pestana will open its doors here? If you’re into fine dining you’ll probably recognize the name Lute. Chef Peter and his wife Marike Lute are well-known for their other restaurants in Ouderkerk / Amstelveen. I’ve been to De Kruidfabriek for a couple of times now and this restaurant is also certainly a recommendation if you want to have an extensive dinner or perhaps an elaborate lunch with the entire family. And you get the picture: now that they’ve opened a restaurant close to where I live next to the Amstel I can’t wait to stop by and have a taste and write an extended blog on it.

menu of the ARC. by LUTE Amsterdam

The cooking style of Chef Peter Lute is known for its use of vegetables and spices from their own garden. Of course we also see that yet again on the menu at The ARC by Lute in Amsterdam. Classics and techniques from the Lute archive have been re-discovered and processed into new dishes that are fresh, but also very tempting. There’s a raw bar where you can order oysters, tataki, but also tartare. Very nice to order with your aperitif. Furthermore you’ll find dishes on the menu that you can order á la carte, an ARC menu where you can choose either 4 to 6 courses (€ 14,- per course) and a tasting menu with 10 different dishes (€ 99,-).

To be continued, after we went to have a taste…
