You don’t want to miss out on these sushi spots!

Staring at Jacob x KU West: Your favourite sushi walhalla Ku Kitchen Bar from the Utrechtsestraat opened a second location at the other side of the city in Amsterdam West on the Jacob of Lennepkade. Sushi, sashimi, handrolls, they are ready to be ordered at this ‘new’ spot.

SUSHISAMBA: YES, SUSHISAMBA has finally taking her mix of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine to the city center. You can find the restaurant in cities like London, New York, Las Vegas & Miami and has been on our bucket list for years. And now we finally can in Amsterdam! Besides delicious sushi they also have many other dishes like the Crispy Yellowtail Taquitos with Avocado and Roasted Corn Miso.

Izakaya: The inspiration for this hotspot at De Pijp is coming from Japan. Izakaya looks stylish and you get a real cosmopolitan city vibe feeling. Everything from the menu is served on small plates so you can easily share the food together. A must try is the spicy tuna! And do you know that the vision of Izakaya is to try out at least one dish you never tried before?

Chi: Chi is an Asian restaurant in Old South where you can order different small bites and of course sushi! You pay 24 euro for four dishes (which is not expensive at all) and you can expand it to seven dishes. Order the Amsterdam roll with salmon and avocado, yummm…

De Japanner: At this restaurant in De Pijp and now also in West, everything revolves around Japanese Finger food, and even better you can still eat here after midnight. Not only is the sushi super tasty but also the cocktails and sake. A must try!

YourLBB's newest lists

Vijfnulvijf: Vijfnulvijf is an Asian hotspot in East with vintage furniture. Something you wouldn’t expect but that makes the spot extra cool to visit. On the menu are Asian tapas and sushi. Be on time because this place is busy!

Meneer Temaki: Meneer Temaki at De Foodhallen stands for pure and honest food. The tuna is catched by a fishing rod to prevent the catch of other sea animals. The salmon is fed by a natural diet (without any hormones). And that makes the fish extra delicious. Come and try it yourself at Meneer Temaki!

Otaru: My old time favourite! To be honest: if you are standing in front of the restaurant you wouldn’t think ”this is a place for a cosy dinner”. But think again! Once you are inside make sure you catch one of the cosy tables in the back and then the fun begins…I always go for the special rolls but there is many more to choose from! All super tasty and very affordable!

Sugoi: Some nights I prefer to stay inside with my pyjama’s on and sit on the couch. Do you have a lazy sunday and don’t feel like going out? Just order sushi in at Sugoi. It’s the best sushi take-out in Amsterdam if you ask us. Especially the Dragon Roll with fried shrimp, avocado and Japanese mayonnaise is to die for!
