Sunday 7: Gino Louman aka DJ Gino Christiano

14 June 2015

In Sunday 7 we tell stories about our favourite business people in Amsterdam. This

weekend we have Gino Louman speaking, aka Gino Christiano! Amsterdam based DJ and producer. Gino can be seen on stage often at Jimmy Woo and 5&33 and this summer he will even be the main act at Electronic Picnic Festival! We’re also quite honoured that he’ll be performing at Your Little Black Book’s first Rooftop Disco :-).

But we’re also very curious about Gino’s favourite places in Amsterdam. Read it in this Sunday 7.

The ideal Sunday

“My ideal Sunday for starters has to be sunny! I would like to be floating through the canals on a boat, take in some fresh air from the IJ, have some good food and drinks and then go clubbing for a bit. On the Sunday evening you can find me at the Jimmy’s!”

Most beautiful place in Amsterdam

“The city center! There around the Golden Bend, where the water is. Generally I think Amsterdam is the most beautiful at the canals…”

Favourite neighbourhood

“East! Around the Indische Buurt. I’ve been living here a couple of years now and I think it’s fantastic.”

3 favourites locations

“In East I like going to Gare de L’est. It’s still a bit of a hidden gem in an old little station. During the summer they have a beautiful terrace and the 4 course menu is always good. Other than that, Wilde Zwijnen, Bukwoski and G’s in East are also part of my favourites.”

Coffee

“As strong and dark as possible! I always order espressos or even a ristretto. My favourite place for coffee is Bedfort & Stuyvesand.”

Favourite food

“Indonesian food! I love eating this at the Utrechtsestraat at Tempo Doeloe.”

Shopping

“I like to do my shopping at the Shirtshop at the Reguliers(dwarsstraat). Tip: get up the stairs here and you’ll find shirts with cool prints.”

Bucketlist

“When I’m successful… I would sail around the world. Hop from island to island, sailing from bay to bay at the Caribbean or in Asia. At the most beautiful place I’d have a stop to start a bed and breakfast.

Als ik later groot ben… wil ik de wereld over zeilen. Eiland hoppen, van baai tot baai varen bij het Caribisch Gebied of in Azië. Bij het mooiste plekje meer ik dan aan om een bed en breakfast te beginnen.”

Gino, we wouldn’t mind visiting you there when you’re there!
