7 questions to Anne, founder of Your Little Black Book!

So many emails asking me for Sunday 7 with Anne :-). So the last story of the year on Your Little Black Book is an interview with, well ME! It seems like ages since I started Your Little Black Book, but it’s only 2,5 years ago. To weclome almost 120.000 unique visitors a month now is such a amazing feeling. My life is one big adventure. This year I quitted my job to be an entrepreneur and I’m happier than ever!

Every week I travel from cities to jungles and from hotspots to fashionable parties. And next week I’m hosting Yourlbb’s first pop-up event! For 2015 there are so many cool things coming up. Like a new website with much better usability. Finally ;-). But now back to the Sunday 7! About my Amsterdam and my dreams. And this very nice playlist with my favourite tracks of  2014. A playlist full of memories and endless chill-out Sundays in bed :-).

The ideal Sunday…

“On Sunday I love to be as lazy as I can be. Or… well… not really lazy now I think about it. I put the alarm around 9 am to work on Your Little Black Book in bed. I love to stay at home till the afternoon. Wearing a camping outfit, messy hair and listening to my favourite music. And if I don’t have a hangover I love to do some running or yoga in between blogs. Sunday to me is a day without obligations. No meetings! Maybe we go out for dinner, maybe, maybe not. One of those rare days we cook at home. Or as I should say… when my love cooks at home ;-). I’m not the best chef…”

Most beautiful spot…

“This one is hard! I really enjoy the view on Amsterdam from the water. It’s so beautiful… never get bored of it. But how much I love the old town… I like the raw and industrial vibes better. Old warehouses turned into clubs and restaurants… Revamped for a new generation. I really enjoy chilling out on the waterfront of the NDSM Wharf in Amsterdam North in the summer. Drinks, snacks and some music. Perfect!”

Amsterdam wish-list

“I would love to go out for dinner and drinks with my fav food and drinks entrepreneurs in Amsterdam. From Chefs like Joris Bijdendijk to restaurant owners like Pieter (of Rijsel), the 3 wise men from the East, Iris from De Luwte, the guys from Brandt & Levie and pop-up king Figo of Foyer. Sitting down at a long table talking about Amsterdam, food and drinks until the early hours.”

My fav restaurants if it’s not a work night?!

“I often get the question what my favourite restaurants are in Amsterdam because I eat out at so many new places. If I’m going out with family and friends I love to go back to Rijsel, Wilde Zwijnen, Toscanini or De Luwte. But I have to admit that list can be much longer with all the great places in Amsterdam!”

You can wake me up for…

Burrata! A dish I would never make it home. It’s my guilty pleasure I just HAVE to order when I spot it on the menu somewhere. My fav spots to eat it are Koevoet in the Jordaan and Carter Bar & Kitchen. Soooo good! True foodporn!”

My hidden gem

Gebr. Hartering. A small restaurant between Waterlooplein and the Scheepvaartmuseum. If you ask me this is the best farm to table restaurant in Amsterdam. I love to go here when I have something special to celebrate or when I go out for dinner with friends who are foodies like me and can really enjoy a 6-course meal with matching wines. Dinner at Gebr. Hartering is foodie heaven. I always taste something new there! Before dinner it’s nice to go to Hiding in Plain Sight for a cocktail! Another hidden gem is Cafe De Klepel.”

Bucketlist material

“A world trip. 12 months x 12 cities and live like a local there. Would love to that one day! From those cities I hop on a plain for a weekend getaway to bounty islands or for the thrill-seeking adventures. High on my bucketlist is a polarbear safari and swimming in a cage watching white sharks. But at the end I’m a real city girl. I just love to spot new places, trends and to live in lively areas. My life never has a dull moment! :-).”

My favourite tracks of last year! From hipster tracks to neo club music ;-)
