Sweet and savoury syrup waffles at Stroop Rotterdam
It might quite a trip, but there’s a really cool shop in Rotterdam West: Stroop! At Stroop you can try out syrup waffles with a twist, because they are always experimenting new flavours with their dough. On the regular menu of Stroop Rotterdam regular menu they have for example the syrup waffle with V.O.C. spices that is still a sweet one, but they also have savoury syrup waffles with bacon. Every week they have a Stroopwafel Special (syrup waffle special) that is undoubtedly always a pleasantly unusual flavour.
If you think that they’re only selling syrup waffles at Stroop Rotterdam, then you are so wrong. Aside from their simple menu with some other dishes and drinks, there are also many events organised at Stroop. Workshops, performances, expositions, board game nights, whatever you can think of. And I mean literally whatever you can think of, because Stroop welcomes all kinds of great ideas that you might have.
Oh, and they also sell all kinds of vintage things and local products from for example Mwah and Wuudy. So come to Stroop Rotterdam if you want to have a light lunch, shop, play or whatever you feel like doing.
