These are the most beautiful beaches around Nice to relax

If you Nice Whether you're visiting for a long weekend or staying for a whole week, a day at the beach is unavoidable. Nice itself boasts miles of beach where you can easily spend a day relaxing on your towel, but just outside Nice you'll also find beautiful beaches you'll want to explore. Imagine stunning coves surrounded by pine trees and colorful houses. Where can we find the most beautiful beaches around Nice, or rather, what are the most beautiful beaches on the Côte d'Azur? Check out our list, pack your beach bag, and get going!

8 Beaches around Nice to visit during your holiday

Promenade des Anglais: Don't feel like spending half an hour on a bus to take a refreshing dip in the sea? Just stay in Nice and walk to the Promenade des Anglais, Nice's miles-long beach. Plop down on your towel or stretch out on one of the comfortable sunbeds at the beach clubs and order a fresh coconut for the ultimate holiday feeling.

Villefranche-sur-Mer: The most popular sandy beach outside Nice is Villefrance-sur-Mer. A 20-minute bus ride (81 or 100, stop Octroi) and a 15-minute walk downhill will take you to the sea. This beach also has several restaurants where you can grab a sandwich or ice cream. P.S.: You'll have a wonderful "French" view from here: colorful houses, greenery, and lots of boats.

Beaulieu-Sur-Mer: A bay you're more than happy to hop on the bus (81). Within half an hour, you'll be across from the bay and can find a spot on the beach. It's very peaceful and there are few waves. Perfect if you just want to spend a day reading a book on your towel.

La Reserve: Follow the sea along the harbor and look for a "dive" sign. Before you know it, you'll stumble upon La Reserve restaurant, which also boasts a tiny, yet beautiful beach. You'll find many locals here, partly because you can dive into the water from various heights. Even if you're hesitant, it's a wonderful sight to behold. Fancy a sandwich? There are numerous restaurants in this area. Note: it's a pebble beach.

Coco Beach: If you walk a little further, you'll come across Coco Beach. It's also a small, rocky beach with pebbles, but it also offers a beautiful view. It can be very busy here, or completely quiet. So, be patient!

Paloma Beach: Also within walking distance of the Port of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, you'll find Paloma Beach. A beach with a touch of 1950s Riviera glamour. The sun rises very early in the morning and stays on the sand all day. From here, you'll have a stunning view of Cap d'Ail and Beaulieu, with luxury yachts and pine trees dotting the mountains.

Plage Fossettes: Near the beautiful harbor of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, you'll find two coves: Plage Fossettes and Plage des Fosses, with crystal-clear, calm water. Perfect for swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, and snorkeling. The beach is very basic, so bring your own snack bag. Or walk back to the harbor and have lunch at one of the numerous restaurants there.

Cap d'Ail: This beach takes a bit of a drive, but it's worth it. The bus takes about 45 minutes, and you'll have to climb a fair number of stairs to finally reach the beach. You can also take the train, which is a bit faster. It's one of the most popular beaches to spend the whole day at, partly because it has the perfect pebble/sand combination. Soft enough to lie on, but not so soft that you'll take half a sandbox home with you ;-) Tip: bring some snacks from the supermarket. There are restaurants, but they are quite pricey.

Just back from Catalonia and I thought: I'll share some tips right away. During our road trip, we stayed two nights in the Ebro Delta. An incredibly fun stop for families and foodies alike, where there is plenty to do. · A boat trip to the Musclarium is a must! Here you eat oysters and mussels straight from the farm, in the middle of the sea. · Admire the flamingos and black ibises that can be found here all year round. · Rice is grown in the Ebro Delta all year round. For paella, but Kensho also makes sake and miso from it! You can visit them during a tasting. · Cycling along the rice fields, canoeing on the Ebro River, and visiting various beaches. It was still a bit too cold now, but there is plenty to do. · The towns are very low-key and not that exciting, but you can find fantastic local food there. From the Michelin-awarded Les Moles* to local eateries like Vermuteria Bonmarisc and Lo Tinglado. We ate a lot of fish, but also anemone fritters (a first!). Now back to work, and I’m going to create an extensive travel guide of this road trip through Catalonia, but you’ll want to save these tips for a future adventure. ✖️✖️✖️ 🖊️ @anne_de_buck { In this post, I share tips for the Ebro Delta in Spain (Delta de l'Ebre).
