For Coffee and cake in Reykjavik go to Stofan!
Do you love vintage living room cafes like Cafe Brecht in Amsterdam? Then you need to check out Stofan when you’re in Reykjavik. A super cozy cafe in the middle of the city center in Reykjavik next to Tapasbarinn and Fish Company. In the morning a nice spot for coffee and a piece of cake and in the evening for a local beer. The carrot cake looks sooo delicious. Next time we’re going back without eating breakfast so we can taste this cake! Sit down at one of the relaxing grandma sofas and we can guarantee you: you won’t come out of it for a while ;-).
Tip: They also have wifi here, so if you happen to plan on uploading photos on social media to make all your friends jealous then Stofan is your place to be!
Funny detail: on the tables there are baskets of yarn and knitting needles. If you feel like it (and if you know how to!) you can continue knitting the scarves here for a good cause!
