Success stories like this always make me happy. Stick-up Indofood started with a first location in The World of Food in Amsterdam South-East , followed by a permanent address in the center of Diemen, and now a brand-new take-out spot in Amsterdam North . I tasted their dishes at World of Food a long time ago, so the fact that they now have a location in Amsterdam North is great news! You can find Stick-up Indofood North in a former flower stall on the Buiksloterweg, close to the ferry to Amsterdam Central.
Personally, I think a sit-down restaurant would also work really well for the Stick-up Indofood team (fun detail: it is run by a brother and sister!). Who knows what the future holds, but for now, we have to make do with takeout. They are open from lunch until 9:00 PM, so the menu at the North location features dishes from lunch to dinner. Sandwiches with rendang, satay ajam, or veggie options with spiced tofu or tempeh. The to-go boxes are perfect; for just ten euros, you can enjoy tasty fried rice with meat, chicken, or vegetarian options. I'm going to try one of the satay menus myself soon, as I am still on the lookout for the best satay in Amsterdam. And… of course, don't forget to take home a piece of spekkoek for dessert!
