Good news for ramen lovers! Sora Amsterdam has opened its doors on Albert Cuypstraat. The Japanese food scene has long been an integral part of Amsterdam. Sure, there are plenty of all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants, but the rise of Izakaya restaurants in Amsterdam demonstrates that Japanese cuisine is much more than that. An "Izakaya" is a Japanese bar where you can enjoy informal food and drinks. And that's exactly what Sora Amsterdam is for. A ramen bar located in the heart of De Pijp on the Albert Cuypstraat. It's a great place to stop by for a bowl of ramen after shopping at the market, or for a more elaborate meal with friends, try all the dishes on the menu. In my opinion, Japanese dishes are perfect for sharing.
As you might expect from Sora Amsterdam, which describes itself as a "ramen dining bar," this Izakaya offers a wide variety of ramen options. A nice bonus: they also have a tasting menu with three different ramen options in smaller portions. This way, you can try a wide variety of dishes even if no one wants to share. Another advantage: no more choice overload. The menu also includes well-known Japanese bites like gyozas and edamame, and we even spotted Korean kimchi. We'll be back soon to sample Sora Amsterdam's full menu!
Happy travels!
WITH LOVE,
WIEKE
