To spend the night in the heart of SOHO, has been on my New York wish list for a long time. On my last trip I stayed at the Soho Grand Hotel. A lovely luxury hotel at walking distance of all the hotspots in Soho, Nolita, The Meatpacking District and Greenwich Village. Through Booking.com I had the best deal for a cheap price.

The perfect getaway for a city trip to New York. Every now and then you have to spoil yourself with something nice, don’t you think? I’ve hardly ever had such a warm welcome as in the Soho Grand Hotel. My lover and I had to drop our suitcases quickly because we booked a helicopter flight. We could leave all our bags on the pavement and when we got back, our suitcases were delivered to our room. Great!

The rooms at the luxury Soho Grand Hotel are nice to relax in and to have a rest after a day of walking around in New York. The view is amazing! With obviously the rule, the higher the floor, the better the view on the skyline of Manhattan. We stayed at the 10th floor and when you open the curtains in the morning while you’re working on your social media or mail in bed, all you can think is: WOW! Also nice: on every floor you can get free coffee, water and tea so you can have your caffeine fix before breakfast if you like. Perfect! Followed by a long shower with the beautiful toilet stuff of CO Bigelow and ready to have breakfast.

My tip: don’t skip the breakfast in the Soho Grand Hotel in New York. You can choose from a variety of breakfasts. Start with a cappuccino and one of the super healthy juices. The ginger, pineapple and wheatgrass juice is a recommendation. For breakfast I would definitely order the New York breakfast with a bagel, cream cheese, and salmon. But… the pancakes with blackberry and maple syrup are also delicious.

When you are staying at the Soho Grand Hotel in New York you can rent a bike for 3 hours a day. A quality service, because Soho is so much fun to explore by bike. In the smaller streets it’s not dangerous at all. If you do find bike riding through New York a little scary, you can rent a helmet in the hotel. Nice streets to visit on a bike are Bleecker Street and in the suburb Nolita everything between Elizabeth Street, Grand Street, Mulberry Street and East Houston Street. Have fun!
