Sleep at the Palm Island in Dubai: Sofitel The palm resort & Spa dubai

Sleeping at the Palm Island is something I had on my bucketlist since they were building the Palm Island. And YES, we did it! During the stop-over in Dubai with Emirates we stayed at the beautiful Sofitel The Palm Resort & Spa. What a wonderful resort. It’s huge, but you won’t notice anything when you’re laying in your canapé at the pool. And the staff, so friendly! I think Dubai is one of the most service orientated cities I know. You will feel like a princess in a palace when you’re staying at the Sofitel The Palm Resort & Spa.

We stayed in a junior suite during our stay in Dubai. And I can tell you one thing: these rooms are beautiful. My house in Amsterdam is not that much bigger. The free standing bath and the huge bathroom are so lovely to relax after spending the day at the beach or pool. When it’s not to warm you can also sit nicely at the balcony.

from breakfast till dinner: SOFITEL THE PALM RESORT & SPA

Breakfast is served in two different restaurants. This is the best breakfast buffet I ever had in a hotel. But maybe that’s because I love the Arab kitchen. Aldo you can get anything. From super healthy till gluten free and the well known comfort food breakfast with bacon and eggs. In Dubai is bacon by the way all beef bacon. You can have lunch at the beach or have them bring it to your canapé at the pool. Very relaxed!

Het Sofitel The Palm Resort & Spa has several restaurants. We had dinner at the Porterhouse Steakhouse and that was fantastic. A real recommendation when you like meat. Very good service, who knows everything about the food and wine. A evening of enjoyment.

During our stay in Sofitel The Palm Resort & Spa in Dubai we really enjoyed the lovely pool. Every day a fresh coconut! Waving palm trees and a breeze who made the warm summer temperature very pleasant. So nice!
