Smorgasburg New York

If you love food markets and festivals then Smorgasburg in Brooklyn and Williamsburg is food festival heaven :-). On my last trips to New York the upcoming neighbourhood Williamsburg was my favourite of the week. Together with my brother I discovered this food festival on the banks of the Hudson with a very cool view on Manhattan. Smorgasburg is open every Saturday in Williamsburg and every Sunday in DUMBO between 11 am – 18 pm. We went to the location at East River State park. As soon as you enter the park side you get carried away with all the deliciously smelling food trucks. Best strategy: walk a small round and decide what’s the yummiest food you want to eat. Then go to the bar area, get a 21+ band and let one person go back to order the food while you get in line for the beer of Brooklyn Brewery. Some delicious food trucks are the ones with the ribs, hot dogs, oysters and the bio beef jerky to take home. Don’t go to late to Smorgasburg since most vendors leave when their stock of the day is sold. After Smorgasburg it’s nice to go for drinks to the Ivey bar at the Wythe hotel!
