From a PROFESSIONAL to a personal treatment
As you might know I’m a big fan of Skins Cosmetics in Amsterdam. The main reason for this is probably the fact that my lover visits Skins for his heavenly smelling custom-made perfume.
For years this was only possible in cities like New York and Paris. But at Skins they now use this lab kind of setting from Labo where your favourite odours get mixed.
The room that I find myself in has a view on the courtyard. Even finding myself in the middle of the city, I can almost hear the birds sing when the door closes behind me.
That heavenly scent made me wanting to go to Skins in The Nine Streets. They sell the best beauty products there. If I had the money, I would probably buy them all :-). Because of my travels I always make sure to carry the Medkit B5 in my hand luggage. This wonderful serum makes my skin feel soft and hydrated during the flight. The moment I step into that room I know it: it’s me-time.

Besides the shop on the ground floor Skin Cosmetics Amsterdam also owns a salon on the first floor in the Runstraat. The room that I find myself in has a view on the courtyard. Even finding myself in the middle of the city, I can almost hear the birds sing when the door closes behind me. Time to close my eyes and enjoy the facial treatment.

Because of my travels for Your Little Black Book and the fact I’m a 30-something girl are making me so much more aware of the condition of my skin and the effort I have to make to take care of my body. And that is not always easy. A nice massage or a facial treatment are my helping hands at times.

Whenever you want to get a facial treatment, make sure you are aware of what your skin needs. Anti-aging treatments and light facial peelings are the things my skin is asking for at the moment. Those peelings don’t hurt. I secretly enjoy the soft stinging sensation on my skin. You just feel how the products are doing their work!
Whenever I’m at Skins for a treatment I always get more things done. For example my brows get a touch-up so I wont have to worry about them during my travels. Skins Cosmetics is one of the best salons of Amsterdam to build your own personal treatment plan. Also for custom-made products Skin Cosmetics is the place to go to. Maybe this winter I’ll try to take it a step further and give my face a intensive peeling. Only to keep my skin stretchy and wrinkle free as long as possible. Isn’t that what we all want ;-)!
