Why you want to visit Selva Amsterdam
Amsterdam’s Rivierenbuurt has a brand new hotspot< /strong> because Selva Amsterdam recently opened on the roof of the nhow hotel Amsterdam RAI. We have been fans since the opening because we do not yet have such a chic restaurant at a great height with international allure in our capital. Selva embodies the Amazon region; the restaurant and rooftop bar are an ode to the rainforest. That concept is implemented to the smallest detail, from the special menu to the interior.
The remarkable interior of Selva Amsterdam
The interior of Selva immediately creates a unique feeling upon entering. Design agency El Equipo Creativo transformed the restaurant into a place that breathes the jungle. Think of a space with natural tones such as brown and green and lots of plants. Even those who have never been to the jungle can immediately imagine it after a visit to Selva. The smells of South American cuisine only enhance the experience.

Menu Selva Amsterdam
At Selva Amsterdam, you can eat classic Latin American, but at the same time, the chefs know how to give all dishes a modern twist. Special ceviche and pan de yuca with cheese (a Brazilian delicacy) are a must as a starter, but the wide range of fish and meat from the grill is not to be missed. If you are with a group, go for the 800-gram sea bass – because you have never tasted this fish like this before. The same applies to the extensive choice of grilled meat, such as wagyu beef.

A rooftop restaurant is, of course, not complete without an equally good cocktail bar. This is how Sonora was born. At Sonora, more than just cocktails are prepared: all recipes are based on old stories and legends from Latin America. Manager Rudi Giovanni knows his stuff about cocktails – the bartender has several international awards to his name. Rudi also knows how to surprise non-drinkers; his mocktails are now just as popular with an international audience. At the end of the evening, if you’ve had too much of a drink – we can imagine – then you can book one of the luxurious rooms in the nhow hotel.
