@eetcafe_de_reiger is the spot to remember.
Cozy, casual, and a seasonal menu. This one was on my list to share for a year and finally it's (almost) asparagus season again! 🤤
Another plus? Prices are very reasonable here!
📍 Eetcafé de Reiger
Jordaan, Amsterdam City Centre
Save this spot for when you're craving warm Dutch traditional dishes in the heart of Amsterdam.
And did you hear the same team took over Eetcafé van Beeren? I can't wait to go there too!

A cookbook from Grandma. Three Michelin stars. And a beautiful 70s villa in a quiet neighborhood in Bangkok, where you are welcomed as if you were at the chefs' home.
The Sühring brothers do not cook based on trends; they cook from memories. Of their grandmother's farm, of the flavors of their youth in Germany, and of techniques passed down through generations.
@relaischateaux invited me to experience Sühring during a solo lunch, and this is truly my ultimate definition of culinary self-care.
This was a surprising afternoon in Bangkok, where I ate the best German food I have ever tasted. And that in a city where I normally avoid European restaurants. Well, for @restaurant_suhring, you really want to make that exception.
Signature dishes that I still think back to regularly?
🍴 Labskaus with caviar
🍴 Enleta waffle with Pfalz vinegar
🍴 Game pie
🍴 Dry aged Duck
TIP: If you go to Sühring, reserve the seats at the kitchen bar so you have a view of the chefs at work!

In this reels I take you along for fine dining in Bangkok at the three Michelin starred restaurant Sühring.

This is one of the nicest free outings in the spring! Did you know that you can gather (or pick, for the connoisseurs 😉) oysters yourself in various places in the Netherlands? I’m in Zeeland for a bit this weekend, and if we can, we’ll go again.
📍In this video, I show where you can fill your bucket.
Comment oester for the comprehensive guide with all details about all 8 locations + handy tips and rules.
Important to know:
– Max. 10 kilos per person (≈ 1 bucket)
– For personal use only
– Do not scoop or scrape the soil
– Go at low tide
Handy to take with you:
Bucket, screwdriver, boots, work gloves, tea towel, clean clothes and garbage bags (for the oysters and dirty clothes).
And of course: also bring an oyster knife, lemon and champagne 🍋🥂Because you want to taste something right away!
The oyster season runs from September to about April / early May, so now that the water isn't so cold, this is the perfect outing.
In the full guide, I share exactly where you can easily find them without much effort. Leave a comment and I'll send it to you right away!
Who do you want to go oyster collecting with soon?

In the luxurious apartments of Studio Norma, you'll experience what slow living truly means. Imagine this: you're stretching out in your crisp bed. Toot toot! There's the bakery. You descend the stairs along the 2000-year-old castle wall to fetch your fresh focaccia (just hung!) from the door. Espresso in hand, you head to the rooftop terrace, where all you have to do is lose yourself in the view of the endless, glistening Mediterranean Sea. Studio Norma is literally an oasis of tranquility, yet right in the heart of everything Sciacca has to offer. Drift away in the claw-foot bathtub overlooking the sea (complete with Marie Stella Maris products for that true spa feeling), relax on your penthouse-like rooftop terrace, and enjoy the beautiful handmade details like pottery and art made by Sciacca's locals. You won't want to leave, believe us.

About a fifteen-minute drive from the center of Sciacca, you'll find the gem of Cantine de Gregorio. Here, you can dine in your finest dress among the olive trees. The vineyard setting, the lights, the music—it truly feels like you've stepped onto an Italian film set. And you're the star! Not only do they produce their own wine and olive oil (you'll want to try them!), but their dishes are truly works of art. Imagine yourself for an evening in a true Italian fairytale, far from the hustle and bustle of the city center. In a word, magical.
C.da Ragana, Sciacca, cantinedegregorio.it
Are you a pizza lover like me? Then you can't miss this pizzeria in the heart of Sciacca. Nestled in a beautiful old courtyard, you'll find the tastiest pizzas among the locals. Tip: don't leave without trying the delicious Mare Piccante!
Corso Vittorio Emanuele 216, Sciacca
In summer, you can enjoy their delicious dishes in one of Sciacca's most beautiful squares. With a bit of luck, you might even catch a live Italian band, who regularly perform on the square in the summer. Year-round, you can also enjoy a menu featuring fish like you've never tasted before.
Vicolo Sammaritano 22/24, Sciacca – colapesceristorante.it
As a port city, Sciacca is, of course, known for its incredibly fresh fish. Fancy watching fishing boats sail in with their catch and seeing it appear directly on your plate? Then Porto San Paolo is the place to be. And for the vegetarians among us: here you'll find the most delicious pasta alla Norma in town.

Besides its carnival, Sciacca is also known for its handmade and painted ceramics. Wander through the streets of Sciacca for half an hour and you'll see that ceramics are literally everywhere. We believe the most beautiful examples can be found in Sclafani's studio. Nothing is perfect, and that's what makes a visit to this artist a surprise every time. I guarantee you'll never leave empty-handed.
Corso Vittorio Emanuele 148, Sciacca
Not an Italian name, but a truly charming boutique where every item has been hand-picked with love and care by the owner. A little something different, and besides shopping, it's also a great place to chat.
Piazza Don Giovanni Minzoni 7, Sciacca – Instagram page @hygge_sciacca
A shopping experience like you've never experienced before. At Masi, you'll find not only the most unique pieces for that special party or a new outfit for endless days at the beach, but you'll also be completely pampered. Is your new dress not quite right? No problem, the lovely ladies will take it in for you. From linen pantsuits and party dresses to handbags and other accessories: Masi has it all.

In Giovana's studio, you can spend hours marveling at the unique handmade jewelry. You're always sure to find something special, sometimes even with a small nod to the beautiful island. Still can't quite find what you're looking for? No problem, explain your vision to Giovana, and it'll be ready for you within a few days!

The bar with by far the most beautiful view of Sciacca. Located in the historic square, it's a wonderful place to stroll among the locals and then relax on the terrace. It's a wonderful place for a morning cappuccino and a cornetto (croissant), and also perfect for an aperitif at sunset.
Piazza Angelo Scandaliato 4, Sciacca
The best wine bar with a changing aperitif menu every Friday. Aperi… what? The idea of an aperitif is to enjoy lots of small dishes paired with various (in this case, often) Sicilian wines. Our favorite? La mano libera! The perfect way to start your evening.
Via Gaie di Garaffe 50, Sciacca – Instargam page @baccanale_naturalwine
This Sicilian/Irish pub is a fixture in Sciacca and the place to rush to as soon as you arrive in this beautiful coastal town. Looking for local tips, the best Negroni, or just in need of a hug? Then this local pub with the best (live) singalongs is the place to be.
Piazza Inveges 4, Sciacca – Instagram page @murphys_sciacca
Sicily is famous for its granita. Granita is like sorbet, but tastier and incredibly thirst-quenching during the hottest hours of the day. At Sant'Angelo, the granita is made in-house with fresh strawberries or crunchy almonds and served with warm brioche. It takes some getting used to, but once you've dipped that warm bread in the granita, you'll wonder why you've never tried it before!

Want to truly step back in time and discover Sicily through the eyes of a local? Then you'll want to hit the road with Enzo and his adorable vintage Fiat 500. Enzo has lived in Sciacca his whole life and is the perfect person to take you on a tour packed with Instagrammable panoramas, granita, and spots only a local can show you (read: you'll never be able to navigate that labyrinth of streets yourself). As far as we're concerned, a Sicilian vacation snapshot, Fiat included, is a must.

Every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 13:00 PM, this is the place to be. Here, farmers personally sell their produce, and you can taste the difference. Not only will you find the tastiest cheeses, fruits, and vegetables here, but you can also find the best souvenirs to take home. Tip: have breakfast at Bar San Michele with a delicious brioche and fresh Spremuta, and then stock up on delicious treats.
Piazzetta S. Gennaro, Sciacca
In Sciacca, you can enter ancient caves (!) and get a glimpse into the earth's interior. The tour guides call it "breathing the earth" when you feel the incredibly warm air from the tunnels of the earth's interior on your skin. One hundred percent humidity (you and your hair have been warned!) and incredibly hot, but also a unique experience you'll remember for a long time.
Via S. Calogero al monte, Sciacca (every Sat-Sun from 10am-12pm)
Ever wanted to learn the secret recipes of a true Italian mama? Sicilian Giusi will show you how to prepare the island's most delicious dishes. And above all: how to enjoy them the Italian way. Wine and a sunny terrace included.
@vintage_fiat_tour
Sciacca is surrounded by beautiful beaches, but the most special is undoubtedly Capo San Marco. This small beach is nestled in a protected nature reserve, and it shows! Here you can enjoy the unspoiled scenery with its crystal-clear water and characteristic red rock formations. A short walk through the beautiful hills leads you there, after which you can enjoy snorkeling or lazing on the beach.
Via delle Lanterna, Sciacca
