San George Amsterdam

San George Amsterdam: Italian chic bistro in the city center

13 April 2015

Pssst… there’s a new Italian hotspot in town: meet San George Amsterdam

San George in the heart of the city center in Amsterdam was my hotspot for a lazy Sunday brunch this weekend. This new Italian bistro just opened the doors and is located next to the NH Hotel close to Leidseplein. The interior design of San George Amsterdam is stunning. I love the use of green and blue and it’s just so classy… Love it! I see myself going there with a group of friends sitting on the huge green couch. San George Amsterdam has the New york chic style to add a little bit of glamour to the Leidseplein in the city center.

Menu x San George Amsterdam

The menu at San George in Amsterdam is really great. Lots of medium sized dishes you can share or combine in a night of wining and dining. As a sucker for burrata of course I had to try and taste it when I spotted it on the menu. I have to see, it’s delicious! As a main course I had the tuna tartare, also very good. My love had the pasta with lobster which looked not only great but tasted it as well. All in all… great Italian food in a very nice interior.

Since I was there on the second day they were open I think the operations didn’t run as smooth yet as they should. And don’t get scared when going to the restroom. It seems they forgot to remodel that part of the building. Beside that: San George is a great new restaurant hotspot if you’re looking for great food near Leidseplein.
