Rufus Amsterdam marks the end of a journey from Tirana – one of Albania's most important cities. It's not something the average Dutch person would immediately associate with a special cuisine, but that's a shame, according to the minds behind Rufus. Because the Italian-Albanian family knows better than anyone how good the food is there. At Rufus, they bring the two worlds – Italy and Albania – together in one kitchen. And that results in many surprising dishes.

Ambience and interior at Rufus Amsterdam
Rufus Amsterdam is now located on Roelof Hartstraat: and this restaurant is every bit as charming as its name suggests. You'll dine here on a fusion of Albanian and Southern Italian cuisine, creating unique taste sensations.
But that's not all: Rufus is a great place to be all day long. Italians, of course, know better than anyone how to serve good coffee, and that a delicious sweet treat is a must.
The interior clearly reflects Albanian influences, thanks to the brightly colored walls. But there's also room for classic Italian flair, thanks in part to the modest terrace and the generous amount of marble used in the interior.

Besides all the delicious food, you'll find a unique selection of Italian and Albanian drinks. Besides limoncello, you can also sample traditional Albanian burek and raki, along with the superb wines from both countries, of course.

If you're looking to embark on a culinary journey together, Rufus is the place to be! Dine here with dishes and drinks you've never tasted before, and you'll get to know each other's tastes. It's also the perfect spot for brunch and coffee – if you're there in the morning, be sure to order a pasticiotto (with or without chocolate).

First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.

This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.
