California Road Trip: Last Day in San Francisco… Missed Part 3? Then check it out here.
Last day today. Such a shame. But coming back from vacation in New York is no punishment, of course… :)
We liked the area around Valencia Street the best and are now there to get something to eat.
First at Four Barrel Coffee Stopped in for a coffee on Valencia Street. Yes, this is a hotspot all over. There are some outdoor seating areas, and they've added some fun features inside. This spacious place has a hip vibe.
After our caffeine shot we're ready for some beers. I heard that Zeitgeist Valencia Street has an outdoor space. Wow, I'm a little shocked, but the patio is so cool we'll definitely have a few drinks there. And people-watching is entertaining. Zeitgeist = heavy metal, punk, weed, chill, cheap beer, bartenders who don't wash very often.
We eat some more ramen (mega soup with noodles) and sake and continue our way through the junkie jungle (yep, lots of junkies here) back to our hotel.
Tired, satisfied and 3 kilos further, that was it for the road tripping. ;)
Highlights? Definitely Sonoma and Santa Barbara. And the views from Highway 1 were stunning. No San Francisco? Nope. No San Francisco. Too bad we didn't have time to go to LA. We'll have to combine that with a trip to the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas...
