Restaurant Park Amsterdam: the new hotspot of Hotel Arena at the Oosterpark

25 October 2016

This will be your new go-to after a walk in the oosterpark

With the opening of the new restaurant Park restaurant in Hotel Arena this hotspot has made a comeback. Sometime, long ago, Hotel Arena was one of the hottest places to go clubbing in Amsterdam. Because in here, you could go all out every weekend. And so we did ;-). But suddenly Hotel Arena lost its spark. Even worse, Hotel Arena became a faded glory. The clubnights got lost in oblivion and the rest got rebuilt and expanded. And with success, because Hotel Arena now proudly presents her new café-restaurant Park Amsterdam! We can certainly say that this is one of the best comebacks of restaurants we’ve seen in Amsterdam this past year.

And when we look at the interior of Park in Hotel Arena, we’re just as enthusiastic. Through the west entrance of the Oosterpark you’ll walk straight into these oasis of peace and design. The design of the new restaurant is by the well-known TANK Interior Design that worked with Team V Architectuur especially for this occasion. The result is three different settings: a lowkey lounge, a lively bistro and a classy restaurant with set tables.

And the calmness? That’s been created by the glass outer walls, the earth tones and the green. Lots of green, because Park Amsterdam wanted to extend the line of the Oosterpark straight to the inside. And so you’re surrounded here by beautiful evergreens: plants that have the colour of green the whole year through.

Besides the beautiful interior – where it’s perfect to either work of have a chat – the menu also looks good. A mix of Italian en French dishes that everyone’s familiar with and everyone almost always feels like having. At least, in our opinion. From a ceasar salad to the club sandwich, simple dishes but of high quality. What we’ve seen from the evening menu so far looks very promising! Will we see you there?
