Edel Amsterdam: cafe and restaurant hotspot in Amsterdam West!

2 November 2013

Edel Amsterdam is a gem of a hot spot!

Edel Amsterdam is one of my favourite spots in the Baarsjes. It’s housed in this huge building called ‘The Sieraad’ (the jewel) that was used as a vocational school for jewelers in the past. Last year Edel Amsterdam got a complete new interior! The huge bar is gone and made space for a cosy vintage interior where you feel home immediately. Great for lunch, drinks or dinner; you’re welcome all day!

What’s on the menu at Edel Amsterdam?

Last week I discovered Edel Amsterdam as a hot spot for lunch! I’m a huge fan of steak tartare and I added Edel to my list of spots in Amsterdam where they serve tartare that is to die for. Complemented with delicious bread, a poached egg and a bit of rocket. Another all time favourite for lunch is the burger. A permanent choice at the monthly changing lunch menu. Yum!

Edel Amsterdam:

Address: Postjesweg 1, Amsterdam
Neighbouthood: De Baarsjes / Amsterdam West
Website: edelamsterdam.nl
Price level: cheap to moderate. Very good value or money, lunch from € 7,-.

Perfect for: all casual occasions.

This is my style for a casual weekend lunch at Edel: jumper from French Connection (94,95), golden booties from Acne (expensive) and chance from Chanel (smells sooo good!).

PS: Edel is epic for the Edelwise parties once a month. Check the agenda at the website of Edelwise and save the date! Tip: go for dinner there before Edelwise for just € 35,- (incl. entrance fee).
