Ramen Fujitora Amsterdam: the ramen hotspot in De Pijp that feels like Japan

Ramen Fujitora Amsterdam is one of those places where you feel like you’re in another country for a moment—Japan, to be precise. At this place, you enjoy ramen, Japanese lemonades, and sweet delicacies.

Why you should experience the flavours of Ramen Fujitora

Anyone who has been to Japan can immediately see the similarities between the country and the atmosphere and offerings of Fujitora Ramen Amsterdam. Those who haven’t been yet will have to take our word for it.

Even though Amsterdam is teeming with ramen restaurants (google it), founder Tadashi Yamada believed there was room for an additional place. With all homemade ingredients, no one would settle for just one visit, he thought. And it turns out that Fujitora is almost always fully booked in the evenings.

Menu Ramen Fujitora Amsterdam

On the menu of Fujitora Amsterdam, you’ll find only fresh ingredients; even the ramen is homemade. There are three types: shoyu, niboshi, and shio ramen, and all are served in (also homemade!) broth. It is a concise menu, but those who experience the flavours know that not much more is needed for a successful evening. Filling the table with side dishes is still a good idea, as you don’t want to miss the Kushiage or the gyoza. Extra nice: all dishes are also available in vegetarian variants.

From Thursday to Monday, reservations are required (in the evening; on Saturday and Sunday during the day, they have walk-ins), and you can enjoy a chef’s menu. The multiple courses guide you through the best that Japan has to offer. And when it comes to sweets, you’re also in for a treat: the matcha lemonade is just like in Japan, and the matcha tiramisu is better than any other version – though you shouldn’t tell that to the Italians.
