Puik Art: must have design products from Amsterdam

20 June 2015

Puik art: Cool stuff for your home that’s designed in Amsterdam!

We love finding cool products from Amsterdam! Especially if these products are made by young designers. Puik Art is a designer’s collective from Amsterdam that helps designers put their designs on the market. It all started with one candle that they melted in a little shed at the countryside in Poland. Now the men behind Puik Art has assembled with the designers an amazing collection of homeware. All available online and now also at De Bijenkorf. So cool that you can start off with such a small thing and then figure out how to make it become such a big success. It is time to share our favourite design items of Puik Art with you! They’re great for your own house or as a present. And then you also have an interesting story to tell!

5 x homeware that you need:

1 >> Rare & Radiant >>

Perhaps the most beautiful carafe that we’ve ever bought. Cubistic shapes and really different than anything I’ve seen before. Like a diamond that you can drink out of! I can tell you from experience that this carafe does really well at home during dinners with friends. Blown with the mouth and from real crystal. Designed by Laura van der Lugt.

2 >> Flowerpower >>

No more hiding your white power strip as an extension cord because it’s so ugly. This Flowerpower extension cord is so pretty that you can just leave it on plain sight! In yellow, mint green, dark blue or red with a cord that is 4 meter long. Designed by ILIASERNST.

3 >> Clork >>

Just like how the clock ticks at home… The clork sits on my desk in the office. I love the earthy colours and the use of clork and white steel in the clock! Also available in black. Designed by ILIASERNST.

4 >> Candela >>

One of my favourite presents when we’re dining somewhere! This Candela is nowadays already a classic. I really like the white one myself, but for the ones who likes colours can go for either mint green or pink. You can by the way re-use this candle by melting a new candle on the legs of the old one. Made from 100% parafine. Designed by Thomas van Rongen.

5 >> Silly >>>

You can never have too many candles to make your home more cozy and nice. I love earhty colours and the Silly fits well with that. Made from concrete and it’s multi-functional because you can put long candles as well as tealights in them! Designed by Bastiaan Hemmes.
