Eat a steak from 1,2 kilos at Porterhouse Dubai
Porterhouse is one of the best steakhouses in Dubai. You will find this restaurant in the beautiful Sofitel The Palm Resort & Spa on Palm Island. The term Porterhouse comes from America where they used this name for restaurants where travelers could rest and have a bite. At these porterhouses they served fresh steak, what was special for that time since they had no fridges. And so the Porterhouse Steak was born.

At Porterhouse in Dubai they serve Porterhouse Steak off course. But the menu is full with lots of other delicious dishes too. Such as the signature dishes which will be prepared live at your table. From a Caesar salad to steak tartare. Since my lover and I already had our eyes on the Porterhouse steak to share I decided to go for a lighter appetiser. The crab rilette! An excellent choice.

But the absolute sensation was of course the Porterhouse steak. A piece of meat from 1,2 kilo. The waiter prepared our plates at the table and we enjoyed the delicious meat. Cool: when you order the Porterhouse Steak you get a special knife. A knife which is made by hand in New York by a man with a beard. It takes him a week to make 4 knifes! And it’s so heavy! Therefore I’m extra conscious of every bite I eat. YUM!
After dinner we only had room for a liquid dessert and we had a cocktail at the bar. Just as good as the food! So if you are in Dubai soon and you would like a good piece of meat, go to Porterhouse.
