One of the best things to do in the summer is of course to sail along the canals in Amsterdam with your best friends, good music, snacks and enough drinks. In case you forgot to pack the snacks and drinks, you finished it way too early ór decided to sail a little bit longer because of the lovely evening sun? Then we got you covered, we have the perfect solution.
Via foodora you can not only order food that they will deliver directly at your door, you can also pick it up. Determine your sailing route and order ahead. Better said, let the restaurant know you’re coming, anchor as close as possible to the restaurant, get your food, and continue your trip with a boat full of tasty snacks and drinks. 11 X food to pick up at these spots next to the canals
Pluk: At Pluk in the Nine Streets (Reestraat 19) you can order the best sandwiches and sweet snacks to eat for lunch, in the sun on the boat. Especially the banana bread is a must try, just as the healthy juices!
Welcome To Italy: Who doesn’t like a pizza date on a boat? At Welcome To Italy you can order the best pizzas. What about the pizza with Spicy Salami or Pizza Mortadella (Italian sausage)? You can find Welcome To Italy at the Singel 379.
Genki: Sushi is also a dish that’s perfect to share on a boat. Order anything you like at Genki at the Reguliersdwarsstraat 26, think of maki’s, soybeans, nigiri’s and sashimi’s and enjoy Amsterdam from the water.
Poké Perfect: Do you want a poké bowl or sushirrito for lunch? Poké Perfect on the Prinsengracht has the perfect location to pick up food with a boat. Are you going for the Sriracha Spicy Tuna or are you making your own version? Don’t forget to order drinks, keep hydrated!
Ben Duong: Steak Tartare, Spare Ribs, Sashimi, Spring Rolls, Papaya Salad, Fried Rice, Let’s go all out! Believe us, everything tastes better outdoors, on a boat. Ps: They also have an Oreo Cheesecake on the menu at Ben Duong at the Lange Leidsedwarsstraat 57 ;-)
Castell: When the sun shines, we always feel like eating meat from the barbecue. Order your chicken and spareribs, stuffed potatoes, fresh salad and (lobster) soup at Castell at Lijnbaansgracht 252-254 and your afternoon can’t go wrong.
38 Burgers & Taco’s: Tacos, tacos, tacos. We love tacos! At 38 Burgers & Tacos at the Reguliersdwarsstraat 38 you can choose from tacos with steak, chicken, pulled pork and sweet potatoes for the vegetarians under us. Don’t feel like tacos? Then they also serve good burgers!
Ciao Bella Traiteur: Who says you can’t have a real dinner on a boat? Go for a fancy dinner with, for example, Mushroom Soup, Vitello Tonnato and Melanzane of Eggplant and of course Tiramisu from Ciao Bella Traiteur. Anchor at Prinsengracht 1055 and get your deserved dinner!
Little Saigon: Asian food, yes please! Order at Little Saigon at Haarlemmerdijk 30 Noodle Soup, Spring Rolls, Satay and different buns for lunch and order a Saigon beer to complete that summer feeling.
Ter Marsch & Co: Let’s order the Royal Dutch burger and a some bubbles of Ter Marsch & Co as a late lunch on the boat. Or maybe the Ter Marsch Burger and a beer from Brouwerij ‘t IJ? You can find Ter Marsch & Co at the Vijzelstraat 4.
CoffeeConcepts: Breakfast on a boat? Why not? Anchor as close as you can next to Reguliersdwarsstraat 4 and pick up fresh baguettes, juices, coffee and your Greek yogurt at CoffeeConcepts to eat in the morning sun!
