Atmosphere at Phono Lake Amsterdam
The owners of Boothuis were disappointed that there wasn't much going on in their venue in the evenings. So they asked for help. From the former booker of Schietclub, to be precise. And if anyone knows how to put together a good lineup and throw a party, it's him. This led to a fun evening full of music and a sense of community. And that left them wanting more: since the beginning of July, there's something going on at Boothuis every weekend after 22.00 PM, under the name Phono Lake Amsterdam.
Boathouse and thus Phono Lake is such a nice hotspot with a view of the water, where you'd love to spend the morning until late at night. And you can: during the day you can enjoy coffee, lunch, and dinner, after which the dance floor opens at 22.00 PM. The owners believe it's important that it's a place where everyone feels welcome, young and old. And it shows; there's an open atmosphere and a sense of community.
Music and events at Phono Lake
The intimate atmosphere isn't just due to the owners' thoughtful approach, but also to the fact that the venue only holds 150 people (plus another 400 on the terrace). Every Friday and Saturday night, you'll find a changing lineup, with DJ duos spinning back-to-back sets, tapping into the music that resonates best with the crowd.
After ADE, the doors close until May. In winter, it hosts outdoor markets and other winter events, but the Boothuis itself remains open year-round. A grand opening celebration is planned for Liberation Day.

Fancy a night out with friends? Then Phono Lake is the place to be. A dinner at Boothuis beforehand will complete the experience.

Heading out of town? 🍂 These are my favorite walking and drinking spots in the Netherlands.
To be honest... I don't see myself living outside the city anytime soon, but on weekends I do enjoy getting out into nature. That's why I've created a YLBB shortlist of the most beautiful hiking areas, complete with a great spot for drinks nearby.
My perfect Sunday? First, a walk, then plopping down somewhere with a treat or a hot chocolate (or, of course, a glass of wine and bitterballen!).

I used to think Halloween was stupid 🎃.
But since I became a mother, it has become one of our favorite holidays!
