Pho 91 Amsterdam: vietnamese food at De Pijp

17 August 2014

Pho 91 is the new Vietnamese food hotspot in town!

I’m so happy that Pho 91 opened the doors at the lively Albert Cuypmarkt  in Amsterdam. Ever since I ate Vietnamese food at Lêlê in Copenhagen I’m a huge fan of this kitchen. Pho 91 is a cosy and modern Vietnamese cafe serving authentic Vietnamese food.

The interior design at this Vietnamese eatery is really nice. With cool sketches on the walls, Vietnamese curiosities and vintage furniture. If the weather is good there are a few tables at the front of the restaurant as well. The street can be a bit dirty though if they didn’t clean it yet after the market hours. I must say it gives a cool vibe though!

They shop most ingredients for the dishes fresh from the Albert Cuyp market. This hotspot is also very affordable. A great pick for dinner with a friend!

The tasty menu at Pho 91

I really like the taste of Vietnamese food. From the delicious salads, to summer spring rolls and soups. We had some starters to share. All the food at Pho 91 is perfect for sharing. Love that concept since you can taste more of the delicious dishes.

The summer spring rolls with fresh vegetables and a peanut sauce are so good! Also try the crispy chicken wings. I had a salad for my main course with different meats and shrimp in it. The phos are also a must try! It’s a Vietnamese Noodle soup with lots of veggies and meat (if you like!). This spot is one of my new favourites in Amsterdam for Vietnamese food :-).

Pho 91 is also open for lunch! The menu is different and more focussed on Vietnamese baguettes. Have to check that out soon too.
