I know, I know pasta makes you fat. But it’s so damn good we eat it anyway! A cookbook for the real pasta lover is the Zilveren Lepel Pasta. This Italian cookbook has over 350 recipes for pasta. From famous dishes to instructions how to make fresh ravioli.

I already made several recipes from this cookbook and they we’re all very good. One of my favourites is the pasta Penne all arabbiatta. You can cook this pasta in only 30 minutes and it’s very simple but delicious!

Recipe for pasta Penne all arabbiatta

* Preparation: 10 minutes
* Cooking time: 30 minutes
* For 4 persons

Ingredients pasta Penne all arabbiatta

– 6 table spoons olive oil
– 2 garlic gloves
– 1⁄2 fresh chilipepper, finely chopped
– 500 g canned tomatoes, drained and chopped
– 350 g penne
– 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
– 50 g parmesan cheese
– Salt

This is how you make pasta Penne all arabbiatta

Heat the oil in a pan, add the garlic and chillipepper and bake it golden brown. Remove the garlic gloves. Add the tomatoes, salt and pepper and leave it cook for 15 minutes.

In the meanwhile you cook the penne in a large pan with water and salt al dente. Mix the penne with the tomato on the fire for a few minutes. Serve it in a bowl and sprinkle the fresh parsley and cheese over it. Et voilà. The pasta Penne all Arabbiatta is ready!
