For years, the owners of Pastificio Luzzi Amsterdam have been preparing fresh pasta for restaurants, and recently, they’ve also started doing so for home cooks. You can immediately taste the difference compared to dried pasta: even when you prepare this pasta at home, it still feels like you’re dining in a classic Italian restaurant.
Why you should visit Pastificio Luzzi Amsterdam
Want to impress your dinner guests? You can use the Italian pasta and pre-cooked sauces from Pastificio Luzzi Amsterdam. Run by two brothers and a sister (with a bit of help from their mother), you can taste the true flavours of Italy here. Six years ago, the family decided to move to Amsterdam while running a successful restaurant in Bologna. From a production kitchen, they now make their well-known pasta fresh in Amsterdam – previously, they mainly supplied the hospitality industry – and recently opened a shop in the city centre.
Offering from Pastificio Luzzi
What can you expect from this pastificio? Like a traditional Italian family, the children and mother are in the kitchen together every morning. Additionally, they all still live together. They said earlier that it can be challenging at times, but they wouldn’t want it any other way. The pasta is sold and priced by weight. From classic linguine to fusilli: Luzzi has it all. And if you want to go big, you’ll also find what you’re looking for here. For example, the stuffed ravioli with asparagus or the cappellacci with sea bass. When it comes to sauces, you’re in the right place as well. Well-known bolognese and pesto are on the menu here. And what about dessert? You don’t need to think about that either because the mother makes fresh tiramisu every day according to the family recipe.
