Early clubbing is the new after-party, and you might hear people jokingly say, But there’s something to it, because what’s nicer than dancing all day at a festival and then hitting the hay around midnight? Sign me up! Burning the midnight oil isn’t for everyone; unfortunately, the Dutch climate only permits festivals in the summer. Fortunately, more and more places are emerging where you can get your groove on during the day. These are the most fantastic parties that finish early, all in Amsterdam.
6 x parties that finish early in Amsterdam
Staying up late to hit the bottle, you must be in the mood and stamina for it. It’s a thing of the past for anyone with kids, but it’s still very much on for many thirty-somethings. Hangovers get worse with age, and even those who don’t drink know that burning the midnight oil affects your body, often for the rest of the weekend. It can be challenging because Amsterdam always has something fun every weekend. Luckily, there are plenty of places to stick around after dinner for a dance. Think of Bar Chimi (which turns into Club Oliva), Lolita in De Pijp, and Bar Bellini, where it’s rumoured to sometimes turn into a party. Bonnie is also suitable for a lively Friday afternoon drink with a dance, but these places don’t close early. The question arises: where should you go for parties that finish early in Amsterdam? Well, at the addresses below.
A’DAM Loft

The Six PM Club
A party that starts at 18:00, now that sounds like music to your ears? Quite literally, because at The Six PM Club, the music begins promptly at 18:00. From Latin to Deep Disco and House, all styles are covered here. The parties are regularly held at Jimmy Woo and are aimed at people over thirty.

Hunkering
Hunkering is a cheerful concept known for its great lineup; the most prominent house and techno legends are showcased here. Officially, it’s not a genuine ‘early peaking’ concept, but they often organize parties that finish early. For example, they celebrated their fifth anniversary at Rijk van de Keijzer, with all stages indoors. Their parties in summer often take place during the day on a (covered) boat, but occasionally they extend into the night. So, always check the time carefully before buying a ticket.

Vroegzat
VroegZat is – like Vroeg Pieken – a travelling party concept covering our entire country. The rules are evident here, too: from 19:00 to 00:00, you dance your lungs out because after that, the lights come on, and everyone has to go home. If you’re in the mood, you can continue elsewhere, as this party is organized at Melkweg – so there are plenty of pubs nearby to continue the evening. The next edition is planned for September.

Homecoming
Homecoming is regularly organized at club iNN, which is in the city’s heart. It’s an ‘R&B party for adults’ and lasts from 19:00 to 01:00. There are currently no new events planned, so keep an eye on their website and social media for updates.

Vroeg Pieken
The name Vroeg Pieken (early peeking) couldn’t be more apt because, at this party, you dance from 20:00 to 00:30. In Amsterdam, Early Peaking parties are held at Westergasterras, but they also regularly peak early elsewhere in the Netherlands. Let them know in advance via the website which songs you want to hear and, who knows, which hits your favourite might play.
