Palais de Tokyo Paris: museum for modern art lovers

22 January 2013

Palais de Tokyo the contemporary art museum in Paris

I love the buildings of the Palais de Tokyo and the Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris. They both have a beautiful view on the Eiffel Tower! Palais de Tokyo is huge, more than 22.000m² of creative energy makes in one of the largest contemporary art centers in Europe. The Palais de Tokyo encourages contemporary creation with an eclectic and inventive program around emerging and established artists from all backgrounds. I’m always surprised when going there and I always get lost. The navigation at this museum in Paris is not made for me, lol. Some of the exhibitions are a bit (read: very) experimental, so maybe it’s not for everyone. No Mona Lisa smiles at the Palais de Tokyo ;-) but lots of installations. I always like the fashion collection in the basement! And on my last visit there was this beautiful raincloud you see in the picture.

Let me know what you think of Palais de Tokyo in Paris!
