Rooftop Movie Nights – Take a seat in a beanbag or loveseat and enjoy the amazing view over Amsterdam and of course the movie. Sometimes a movie is announced, sometimes it’s a surprise ;-)

Sunscreenings – Once in a week the city beach of Pllek transforms into an open air cinema. On the website Cine.nl you can choose which movie you would like to see, the movie with the most votes ‘wins’.
Date: On Tuesdays in August with good weather

Price: €5 to rent the headphones that you need for the movie

World Cinema Open Air – a film festival focused on the daily life in Latin America, Asia and Africa made by young film directors.

: August 12 and 26
Location: Three locations: Vondelpark Openluchttheater, the Marie Heinekenplein or in the garden of KIT.

Pluk de Nacht – One of the nicest open air cinemas in the Pluk de Nacht at the Stenen Hoofd at the IJ. Get comfy in the beach chair and enjoy movies that you usually can’t see in the Netherlands because they are too small, crazy, too experimental or too extravagant.
