Oosterbar Amsterdam: the night bar where you want to dance

7 November 2016

oosterbar amsterdam is the basement club of the oosterpark!

It’s no bar with party music and it’s no club with just house music. No, Oosterbar Amsterdam is the perfect in betweener: it’s Amsterdam’s newest night bar in the basement of design hostel Generator in Amsterdam-East.

Yes, that’s right, you’ll find Oosterbar in the basement. That means you have to follow the pink walls down the stairs, headed to the intimate vibe that awaits you behind the big black door. And that intimate vibe is the perfect way to describe Oosterbar, because this night bar definitely offers the best of both worlds. No colossal club hassle or tiny dance room here, but a nice, cozy place where you can drink, dance and flirt until the early hours.

Besides cocktails, shots and other alcoholic drinks also different styles of music are on the menu here. On Friday, soulful music from hiphop to R&B and from funk & soul to bass. On Saturday you can dance as well, on the beats of house, future beat and electronical music like tech, soul and deephouse.

And another great plus of this basement location in the old university building: there’s no chance of nuisance here. That means that the music can be turned up and the industrial bar comes even more into its own. Which of course all adds to the intimate and mysterious atmosphere. Dancing is allowed until 4:00 pm! What happens in Oosterbar, stays in Oosterbar, something like that;-)

So when are you going to dance here?

The address of Oosterbar Amsterdam is Mauritskade 57 in Amsterdam-East.
