Come with me to get breakfast in Taipei 🥢
Straight from the airport to this little place to taste soup dumplings and so much more! That's what I call a soft landing 😉 <3
In Taipei, you go to a Soy Milk Shop for breakfast. Warm soy milk to eat in a bowl, and steam baskets with the tastiest dumplings and baozi. You can really wake me up for this kind of breakfast. These local breakfast spots come in all shapes and sizes, from Michelin-recommended spots to hole-in-the-wall stalls.
Most soy milk shops open early (and sometimes even 24 hours a day), and these are the dishes you want to try:
🥄 Warm soy milk
🥢 Soup dumplings (you can often choose between pork and veggies)
🥢 Pork baozi
🥢 Youtiao (油條 - a kind of fried donut stick)
🥢 Youtiao (油條) w/ pork floss & rice
🥢 Turnip cake
🥢 Chives pancake
🥢 Scallion pancake
TIP: Sharing is a good idea to taste as much as possible, because the portions are (often) large.
You'll want to remember these soy milk shops for your future trip to Taipei:
📍Fuhang Soy Milk
📍Soy Milk Shop
📍Yong He Soya Milk King (Da'an)
📍Sihai Soy Milk
I am currently touring Taiwan, and you can also find all the tips in my Stories Highlight.
Have you ever been to Taiwan? I'm curious if you thought it was *that* amazing!

Just back from Catalonia and I thought: I'll share some tips right away.
During our road trip, we stayed two nights in the Ebro Delta. An incredibly fun stop for families and foodies, where there is plenty to do.
• A boat trip to the Musclarium is a must! Here you eat oysters and mussels straight from the farm, in the middle of the sea.
· Admire the flamingos and black ibises that can be found here all year round.
· Rice is grown in the Ebro Delta all year round. For paella, but Kensho also makes sake and miso from it! You can visit them during a tasting.
Cycling along the rice fields, canoeing on the Ebro River, and visiting various beaches. It was still a bit too cold right now, but there is plenty to do.
• The towns are very low-key and not that exciting, but you can find fantastic local food there. From the Michelin-awarded Les Moles* to local eateries like Vermuteria Bonmarisc and Lo Tinglado. We ate a lot of fish, but also anemone fritters (a first!).
Now back to work, and I’m going to create an extensive travel guide of this road trip through Catalonia, but you’ll want to save these tips for a future adventure.

@eetcafe_de_reiger is the spot to remember.
Cozy, casual, and a seasonal menu. This one was on my list to share for a year and finally it's (almost) asparagus season again! 🤤
Another plus? Prices are very reasonable here!
📍 Eetcafé de Reiger
Jordaan, Amsterdam City Centre
Save this spot for when you're craving warm Dutch traditional dishes in the heart of Amsterdam.
And did you hear the same team took over Eetcafé van Beeren? I can't wait to go there too!

A cookbook from Grandma. Three Michelin stars. And a beautiful 70s villa in a quiet neighborhood in Bangkok, where you are welcomed as if you were at the chefs' home.
The Sühring brothers do not cook based on trends; they cook from memories. Of their grandmother's farm, of the flavors of their youth in Germany, and of techniques passed down through generations.
@relaischateaux invited me to experience Sühring during a solo lunch, and this is truly my ultimate definition of culinary self-care.
This was a surprising afternoon in Bangkok, where I ate the best German food I have ever tasted. And that in a city where I normally avoid European restaurants. Well, for @restaurant_suhring, you really want to make that exception.
Signature dishes that I still think back to regularly?
🍴 Labskaus with caviar
🍴 Enleta waffle with Pfalz vinegar
🍴 Game pie
🍴 Dry aged Duck
TIP: If you go to Sühring, reserve the seats at the kitchen bar so you have a view of the chefs at work!
Follow @yourlbb for more tips you can trust.

In this reels I take you along for fine dining in Bangkok at the three Michelin starred restaurant Sühring.

V12 says it best: fantastic dishes at an affordable price (3 courses for around €32,50!), plenty of space, and a lovely terrace where the sun always shines. Located in a former metal workshop, it has that authentic Amsterdam-Noord atmosphere. A bonus: it's also open for lunch on weekends and open daily until late.
Veldbiesstraat 10, Amsterdam – v12 restaurant.
A coffee shop and a snack bar (yes, that's a deliberate space). Turbo, the little brother of Buurtcafé de Tros, is certainly no ordinary snack bar. Here you'll find exciting bites and snacks. Open from 8 a.m. for specialty coffee and pastries. End your day with (natural) wine and, absolutely, their homemade croquette sandwich.
Reinwardtstraat 1, Amsterdam – turboamsterdam.nl
We had no doubt whatsoever that Chef Angelo's Massalia would become one of the best new establishments in East. Gitane is his first restaurant, and what a success it has been. Massalia on Beukenplein boasts a large terrace, and the dishes will make you feel like you're at the crossroads of Marseille and Greece.

Where you once found Floryn, you'll now find Bisous. A restaurant with international allure and a lovely terrace on Albert Cuypstraat. Here you can dine in a Parisian atmosphere. At Bisous, you can dine extensively and linger until the early hours.
Albert Cuypstraat 31, Amsterdam – bisous-official.com
No longer "Jean & Marie," but still with that rock-solid menu of French classics. This terrace is also located on Albert Cuypstraat, and here too, you can dine at the beautifully set tables. The white linens radiate, and the sight of them always makes us automatically crave a chilled glass of red wine with a plate of Oeuf en meurette.
Albert Cuypstraat 58, Amsterdam – aubergeamsterdam.nl
Here you can move with the sun all day long. From breakfast to dinner to evening drinks. The terrace is large and always inviting. Whether you sit on the terrace by the building or on the bridge, you'll be in the right place this summer.
How often do Amsterdammers still visit the Red Light District? Mata Hari gives us another good reason. The terrace is situated on one of Amsterdam's oldest canals, and that's always a wonderful feeling. Fill your table with French-inspired dishes and don't forget the cocktails—they're perfect for a summer evening relaxing on the terrace.
Old Side Achterburgwal 22, Amsterdam – matahari-amsterdam.nl

No longer the newest addition to this list, but Breman Brasserie's terrace is now officially open. It's large, impressively large even. There are comfortable lounge chairs and nooks everywhere, and even a special play area for the kids. You can't go wrong with their burger, but feel free to experiment with the dishes on the menu.
Eastern Trade Quay 34, Amsterdam – thehoxton.com
Badhuis is more than just a restaurant; it's also a cultural venue with a fantastic monthly program. And importantly, it's also one of the finest terraces in Amsterdam East. You're welcome here for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, and the occasional dance.
Javaplein 21, Amsterdam – badhuisamsterdam.nl
Formerly Escobar, now a neighborhood restaurant with a strong focus on wine and delicious food prepared on an open fire. The owners have experience with Rijsel, Troef, and Bar du Champagne. If that's not a seal of approval, we don't know what is.
First Sweelinckstraat 10, Amsterdam – badcuypamsterdam.nl
If you take the time to cycle a little further to Bennies, you'll be rewarded not only with excellent food but also with a lovely terrace. Nestled among the industrial buildings, you'll feel truly lucky to have found this hidden gem.
Helicopterstraat 28, Amsterdam – benniesrestaurant.nl
Nestled in a vibrant corner of Noord, in terms of restaurants and cafes, lies the radiant Café Soleil. Rain or shine, with a menu packed with Mediterranean comfort food, the sun always shines here.
Papaverhoek 31, Amsterdam – cafesoleilamsterdam.nl
Dining al fresco on the Lindengracht is always a pleasure. We've enjoyed it at Il Fiore before, and now you can do it at Café Enté, where Il Fiore once was. There's plenty of room for walk-ins and a menu perfect for shared dining.
Lindengracht 31, Amsterdam – enteamsterdam.nl
Not the newest on the list, but now with a terrace. At Kafe Kontrast, Scandinavian and Indonesian cuisines converge for brunch and dinner. The terrace is small, but incredibly lovely.
Ceintuurbaan 71 H, Amsterdam – kafekontrast.com

At Tannay, formerly known as the Gouden Reael, the terrace overlooks the IJ and the Silodam. Unique indeed. This is perhaps the most beautiful terrace in Amsterdam-West. Here you can enjoy delicious French dishes among the historic buildings of Prinseneiland. Once again, unique.
Zandhoek 14, Amsterdam – restaurantscaron.nl
Bambino is unfortunately no longer around, but Cenc is a worthy replacement. The same people behind Cenc are behind Bar Parry, which means good wine and the same food. Enjoy the most delicious dishes on the Vijzelgracht, but definitely save room for the soft serve ice cream with olive oil and sea salt.
