Niels who? Calli what? Ok, for some of you Niels Shoe Meulman is an artist yet to be discovered. In the graffiti and calligraffiti scene he is a big name. Calligraffiti is the combination of calligraphy and graffiti. Niels Shoe Meulman: “Calligraphy is about the art of writing and can have many forms. Graffiti is the art of getting your (pseudo) name up in an urban environment.” The result is what you see in the picture above I
spotted at calligraffiti.nl! Pretty cool.

In his new book ‘Painter’, Niels Meulman shows how: opposites in art can be united, how writing and painting can be one, and how modern art and street art come together. Great illustrations and copy. The book signing is November 10th at the American Book Center!
I hope he writes his name in calligraffiti :-).
