First of all: thank you for being here to close out 2025 <3.
2025, you were everything I hoped you would be and more. So many new memories.
I don't yet know what 2026 will bring, but last year was one for the books. Highlights included trips to China, Mexico City, Egypt, and exploring the English countryside.
Entrepreneurs probably recognize that 2025 was not an easy year.
When I started Your Little Black Book, I had one dream: not to work to stay somewhere for free in exchange for content and the pressure of a "picture perfect" experience. But to use my revenue models to book and experience those special places myself, as a guest instead of an influencer, and to give you honest tips.
After almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I'm so happy with the balance between editorial and commercial work and that I can also say no to things that don't feel right.
At the same time, it's still special that destinations, airlines, and hotels hire me to create a customized Little Black Book for them. I have complete freedom with these campaigns, and I believe in the value of these content-based tips that truly suit your taste. And they come from me personally, not from a machine.

This will always be my dream job, the one I created almost 15 years ago. I still do as much as possible myself. That's energizing—from both successes and failures.

This is the coolest new hotel for a night away! Meet @viaantwerp, Antwerp's newest boutique hotel on the border of Zurenborg and Borgerhout (yep, voted the 2nd coolest neighborhood in the world by Time Out).
I recently stayed at this gem, and it truly has it all: a lively bar with a cozy atmosphere, walls adorned with creative art, beautiful, bright rooms, and it's within walking distance of great hotspots. And I haven't even mentioned @mea.antwerp! The delightful restaurant, helmed by a chef who previously worked at The Palomar in London. If you know, you know!

Wedding
A typical Berlin neighborhood: raw and full of contrasts. Formerly a deprived area, it's now increasingly popular with young people. This is mainly due to the low rents and the fun pop-up bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. Weekly performances take place in the old factory buildings. techno parties were held.
Mitte
This district is also known as Berlin's city center. It's the place to be for many tourists. You'll find many tourist attractions here, such as the Dom Cathedral, the Holocaust Museum, Alexanderplatz, and the Reichstag. Personally, I wouldn't spend much time here due to the lack of atmosphere. A tip is to rent a bike or book a tour so you don't waste too much time exploring this district.

Prenzlauer Berg
This neighborhood, like Wedding, is still very much up-and-coming, but with the hip youngsters and yuppies. When I think of Prenzlauer Berg, I immediately think of the charming boutiques, trendy restaurants, and lovely terraces and bars for a drink. I was already familiar with the boozy Sunday brunch from my trips to London In America, but also in Berlin, this is now becoming a real concept. I recommend doing this in Prenzlauer Berg as well.

Friedrichshain
A hip and vibrant neighborhood south of Prenzlauer Berg and east of Mitte. Here you'll find the East Side Gallery, the longest remaining section of the Berlin Wall. This neighborhood is especially popular for its many cafés, clubs, and beach bars. In Friedrichshain, everything revolves around the Spree River.

Neukölln
Another neighborhood that's booming among young people. I think this is a great place to stroll around, discover new hotspots, and shop in small boutiques. It's no wonder, then, that new bars, restaurants, and pop-up boutiques open here every week. Don't forget to visit Tempelhofer Feld (the former airport); this is where everyone gathers for walks, barbecues, or picnics.
Treptow
A quiet, green neighborhood where you can completely unwind. It's the largest neighborhood in Berlin, yet the least densely populated. It's not overcrowded, making it a pleasant place to take a walk and enjoy nature.
