Essentiel Antwerp

7 x the best new stores in amsterdam of 2017

Essentiel Antwerp: YES, we no longer have to go all the way to Antwerpen to score the best items b Essentiel Antwerp. They have two stores now in Amsterdam! The most beautiful clothing can be found here and I would just love to have all of the shoes in my wardrobe. And a plus for the men: the location on the Utrechtsestraat also sells the men’s collection. So you’ll easily get your lover with you without whining ;-).

PLUK Berenstraat: We already were a fan of the location in the Reestraat but the new PLUK in the Berenstraat that’s just around the corner of the office of Your Little Black Book has become our favourite. This is the entire team’s go to whenever we’re looking for a great gift!

Wen Amsterdam: They already had a location near Hoofddorpplein, but since this year they’ve opened a second store in the Maasstraat. At Wen Amsterdam you can find almost anything. From great fashion items to funny musthaves and (living) accessories. It’s also a great spot to get gifts for your friends. The book by YourLBB Wanderlust is also for sale there. Nice!

Gekaapt Amsterdam: This used to be an online only shop and they’ve had a pop-up store, but since this year Gekaapt Amsterdam has a location to stay at the Kinkerstraat. In this new store in Amsterdam they also sell their collection Vegan Lane, of which all the products are made in a vegan way. Gekaapt Amsterdam has brought success to many starting brands and focuses on sustainability. And it’s also a store with so many great items. So that’s a win-win situation! Miuse

Miuse: One of the best concept stores in the Nine Streets is Miuse. They’ve always got the best musthaves here and the most unique clothes. Miuse gives beginning artists a stage, because in the store you can see several art works by upcoming talent.

The Backstage: 2017 has been the year of the avocado. After the successful opening of the very first avocado restaurant in the world, The Avocado Show, the same owners have also opened an avocado store. The Backstage is the newest store in Amsterdam where you have to go to for all your avocado cravings. Not only can you get the best ripe avocados, but here you can also learn to spot the difference between ripe and unripe avocados. To just walk in for a cup of coffee is also not a problem by the way!
Daniel Stalpertstraat 76, Amsterdam

Dubbelleven Amsterdam: The first store by Martine Ruskus, that buys old furniture and pimps them. Her creations have been sold at multiple spots but since this year she’s opened her own store in the West of Amsterdam! And you can buy other things besides furniture at Dubbelleven Amsterdam, like accessories inside your home, jewelry and clothes.
