these are new breakfast and lunch hotspots that you want to try
Up for a nice breakfast on a terrace in the winter sun? Or craving a good and healthy lunch in your work break? The last few months some new spots opened their doors and are now ready for tasting. We made a nice list with new breakfast and lunch hotspots in Amsterdam that have opened their doors these past few months. Where have you been already?
Ps: These are the new restaurants that opened in September. Nice for date night ;-)
Tip: we’ve brought a new list to life because a lot of the time we’re one of the first to find out about new spots, but not a lot of information is known: ‘Coming Soon‘. In this list you’ll find the new spots that you can go to soon. We will of course keep you updated about their opening dates.
7 x NEW BREAKFAST AND LUNCH HOTSPOTS TO EAT GOOD FOOD
Mook Pancakes centrum: Yes, Mook Pancakes just opened in the centre of Amsterdam and they have some new dishes on the menu. You can for example order a vegetarian pancake; The Paid In Full; made with baba ganoush, artichokes, African paprikamix and olive oil. And you can also order a ladies pancake; The Coco Chanel.
Lunchroom Eerlijk: Good news for everyone who daily cycles over the Weesperstraat. Amsterdam is a new lunchroom richer. Lunchroom Eerlijk has a relaxed living room vibe and you can eat good food, couscous salad, homemade soups, eggmuffins and tasty cakes…
Vegan Junk Food Bar de Pijp: The Vegan Junk Food Bar is finally open in the Pijp. The one at the Overtoom is comparable to a (hip) snack bar and the one at Marie Heinekenplein in the Pijp is more similar to a restaurant and is even open until 1 o’clock. Oh and they have gin tonics ;-)
Lokaal Spaanders: Lokaal Spaanders is an all-day café where you want to wake up with a good cup of coffee, lunch with fresh salads and have a nice dinner in the weekend. A restaurant that puts North on the map with vegetables from Stadstuinderij Noordoogst supplies vegetables, bread from the local baker and herbs from their own vegetable garden or from their neigbours garden.

Le Nouveau Riche: A wine bar at the Rokin in the centre of Amsterdam where you can go for lunch and shared-dining with a French twist, until the late hours you can have drinks ánd dance.
Duck District: Craving a snack at Central Station? Go to Duck District. At this new Asian spot they serve South East Asian comfort food dishes. Think of slow cooked beef bao buns, summer rolls with BBQ chicken, crispy glazed gyoza’s (vega) and of course the famous Duck Bao with papaya pepper and hoisin skin.
Brouwerij Troost Oost: At the new Brouwerij Troost in East you can go not only for beer, but also for lunch with delicious comfort food. Think of burgers, nachos and cheesecakes as dessert.
