Negroni cocktail recipe
Fill a mixing glass with ice. A good Negroni starts with Campari, followed by equal parts gin and red vermouth. Stir briefly until your Negroni is chilled. Pour the cocktail into a lowball glass with ice and garnish with a half orange slice. Salute!
- 30 ml Campari
- 30 ml Gin
- 30 ml Red Vermouth
Did you know? There are many variations and predecessors to the Negroni, each with slightly different nuances in recipe and taste. Before the Negroni and the Americano existed, there was the Milano–Torino: simply Campari and red vermouth with ice. In the Negroni Sbagliato, prosecco replaces the gin. And the Old Pal takes a significant turn in the recipe. Swap the gin with rye whiskey, the red vermouth with dry vermouth, and serve the cocktail in a coupe glass. In this Negroni book, you’ll find even more delicious variations!
