The Naschmarkt Vienna: food and spice market

21 December 2013

For great Arabic snacks the Naschmarkt Vienna is the place to be!

When I’m abroad I always like to go to food markets. In Vienna the Naschmarkt is by far the most famous one. Locals go here to buy delicious fresh Arabic style tapas. There are so many market stalls and once you walk down the market you can taste a bit of everything. The vendors like you to try and taste the food to convince you to take some of it home with you. The Naschmarkt Vienna is a perfect place to shop for fresh food. From cheese to meat and from spices to vegetables. In the winter the Naschmarkt Vienna is cosy with Gluhwein at almost all the cafes. In the summer it’s fun to go here for delicious bites to enjoy at a picknick in the park. The neighbourhood around the Naschmarkt is very nice. With cool cafes and restaurants like On Market, Babette’s and Kaffee Fabrik.
