Mr Sister Amsterdam: new hotspot on the IJ

3 August 2016

mr sister amsterdam makes waiting at central station fun!

Do you take the ferry from Amsterdam Central to North on a regularly basis? Then there’s a big chance that you stared more than once at the dilapidated restaurant right next to all the ferries. Although the location isn’t a bad place and there’s even a terrace along the water, this place still hasn’t got its well deserved upgrade. But now there’s good news, because that upgrade is here! There is a brand new hotspot Mr Sister Amsterdam!

More hotspots in Amsterdam

In earlier days the building served as a small office of the West-Friesland connection, then it belonged to restaurant Pier 10, but after their departure it stood empty for a while. Then Subway came in, but they left as well. And now the derelict building will be transformed into a new hotspot. Seems like the perfect timing, because the biggest building pits behind Central Station are over. Time to clean up the ferry boulevard. And of course a transformation of the old little office must be included!

Mr Sister is now busy with construction and transforming the place. When ready, they want to focus on the early breakfasts and late lunches. Welcome new breakfast & brunch restaurant! And as they are located in the heart of travelling Amsterdam, they also serve take out meals. That means that you can sit inside, outside on the terrace or snacking your breakie on the ferry. And in addition to the healthy lunches, you can also go to Mr Sister for drinks or dinner. And a phenomenal view over A’dam Toren and EYE included of course ;-)

The exact opening date is unknown. but make sure you check their Facebook-page or Your Little Black Book to stay up to date about the latest news. Do you want to have a first look? The address of Mr Sister Amsterdam is the Ruyterkade 10 near the ferries!

Also in the neighbourhood of Central Station are 5&33, Meneer Nieges, Wolf Atelier, A’dam Toren with Lookout, Madam, Moon and Shelter and of course EYE and Tolhuistuin! Have fun!
