Fancy a nice big bowl of hearty, full and healthy soup? filled to the brim with firm ramen noodles, grilled chicken, poached egg and seaweed?
During our time in New York, I heard a lot from locals about the fantastic Momofuku. And how could I leave this city without trying it myself? Momofuku has opened spots all over the city where you can eat low-key or upscale (as in, 2-Michelin-star-chic $$$). Check it out here. all Momofuku spots.

After recently enjoying a fantastic milkshake at Momofuku Milk Bar in Williamsburg, we're finally trying the ramen noodles at Momofuku Noodle Bar in the East Village. Be prepared to wait, but it moves incredibly quickly. This also means you won't be able to linger there for long. But hey, you can quickly move on to the next hotspot on your list, right?

So what are ramen noodles? A huge bowl of noodle soup packed with vegetables, seaweed, an egg, and other delicious dishes, with or without meat. On Fridays and Saturdays, they're open until 2 a.m., so it seems like a great midnight snack! You'll thank them the next day... ;-)

If you can still say boo or yuck, you MUST go to Chikalicious, a dessert bar around the corner. I had one of the most delicious desserts ever there: the famous mint-chocolate lava cake. It takes 15 minutes in the oven, but afterward, you get your rich, dark chocolate soufflé, filled with a soft, warm sauce that slowly oozes out like steaming green mint lava when you crack open the fluffy exterior. It comes with some ice-cold, creamy mint ice cream on the side. My god, what warmth, what excitement, what a combination. And I'm so full... Lava Lava this!
