Milan is Italy's fashion and design capital. Chic and stately, with the finest shops and design restaurants. I recently spent 36 hours in Milan on a coffee tour through Italy with illyJust long enough to check out some of the best hotspots. As in all Italian cities, the food in Milan is delicious. Pure, flavorful dishes paired with a good glass of wine. If you're traveling to Milan, make sure you pack a blazer or a good shirt and immerse yourself in the Italian style!
In this mini Milan City Guide I'm listing my favorite discoveries to get to know Milan in 36 hours. Enjoy!

Milan is full of beautiful hotels! From very expensive and luxurious hotels like the Armani Hotel to boutique hotels. In Milan, I personally find Nhow hotel It's nice that it's located in the Navigli area. Or stay at the Starshotel Echo A stone's throw from Central Station. This is the eco-friendly hotel in the photo below. Townhouse has several small-scale hotels in Milan. town house 12 I like it the best!

When you think of Italian coffee, you think of espresso and illyThroughout the city, you'll find various illy coffee shops where you can stop for a break while shopping. Of course, Milan also boasts small, independent coffee hotspots. For example, visit Cutting!

You'll find charming boutiques in the Brera district, with its charming streets of Via Solferino and Corso Garibaldi. Other great shopping streets include Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Corso Buenos Aires, Via Torino, and Porta Ticinese. Have a lot of money to spend? Then head to the so-called "golden triangle" with the streets of Montenapoleone, Via Manzoni, and Via Della Spiga. Afterwards, enjoy a drink at Cathedral 21Not cheap, but a beautiful view!

Around 17 p.m., it's aperitivo time in Italy. It's the perfect time to enjoy a drink with friends or colleagues, accompanied by delicious snacks. Many restaurants offer snacks with your drink. That makes a €10 glass of wine suddenly much more affordable ;-).
During my trip to Milan I found 10 Corso Como a nice address for an aperitif!

I've actually never had a bad meal in Italy. But... you don't want to be in tourist traps. Go where the locals go! From a corner osteria to a fancy restaurant. Milan has it all! For lunch, Parma&Co very nice. Have a bite to eat in the evening in the beautiful courtyard of Fonderie Milanese in the Navigli district. A nice neighborhood with many authentic and affordable restaurants! Enjoy brunch in Milan at Maya en The bicycle.
The Italians are so stylish! And the cocktails are expensive ;-). Still, you really shouldn't miss Milan's nightlife. From clubs to rooftops and cocktail bars.
