With an average of three to four trips a month, packing and travel preparation has become second nature. Next week I'm off to Thailand (so excited!). I'm often asked if I have any "regular" travel tips besides great hotspots. And the answer is: of course! Here's a list of my personal favorites for your next adventure.
There's nothing more annoying than poor internet while traveling. I now use an eSIM (like from Airalo) so I'm online immediately upon arrival. Handy if you work remotely or like to update your Instagram stories in real time. It's often cheaper than roaming, and you're not tied to expensive Wi-Fi plans or local SIM cards.
For airline tickets, I now use Booking.com. Lately, I've been finding the best deals there, and booking is easy. Booking.com is also my go-to for hotels.
I never travel without a good power bank. Whether you're taking photos, listening to music, or navigating, running out of power is simply not an option. I personally use a compact Anker power bank. It fits in your handbag, but charges your phone multiple times. Ideal for on the go, festivals, or beach days without a power outlet.
Renting a car last minute is usually much more expensive. I compare prices through Rentalcars.com or Sunny Cars. Especially if you're on an island (like Ibiza or Madeira), it's wise to book your car in advance.
My standard travel app pack for 2025:
A portable speaker is always a must-have for me. Perfect for your hotel room, balcony, or a picnic in the park. I personally use a Sonos Roam or JBL Go speaker. Compact, lightweight, and with surprisingly good sound. Create your own vibe, wherever you are.
Have you already collected some great hotspots? Create your own guide with Google Maps and download the map of your destination for offline use. This way, you'll always have your tips at hand, even when you don't have internet access. I often make a separate list for each city that I can easily share with friends.
